awesome staff! Great selection! Bought my first mountain bike here and have it serviced here only. Matt and his team are great in and out of the shop. Always a pleasure coming here! These guys have the best bikes in Toronto!

Had a bad experience with the shop. Took in my bike, spoke with the owner. He was very helpful. Gave me a quote. The next day got an email from Robin. One stated that the disc brake seized (was working when I brought it in). Gave me a slightly higher quote. Then got another quote for both breaks that was 3x my first quote from Kale ( the owner) I called in and asked whats up? Then I had to ask what the price would be for what I actually requested, and it was much higher then the original quote. He said he forgot to add that in extra labour. I asked if he could call the owner and see if they could do something for me. He said "no its the owners day off, and I don't have his phone number." Something seemed really off, so I went to retrieve my bike. When I got there the mechanic, good guy, seemed honest, told me my break was seized. He showed me. I told him when Kale spoke with me just yesterday, we both looked and tested the bike breaks, the back brake was fine and it only needed break pads. The mechanic and I both thought it was odd that from one day to the next it was broken. I said thank you, I'm a bit upset that when I came into the shop with my back break working a little yesterday, and now someone threw the old pad out, the break is completely broken, and now the bike is useless. Another gentleman at the front of the store asked me to share what happened. Wore a hat had a red eye, was very friendly (did not remember his name). So far 3 out of 4 staff great, only an odd unclear up charged price for a seized break. These things happen. A man sitting at the desk, rudely interrupted our conversation on the way out. His name was Robin. He said I'm in sales here and whats the problem in an aggressive voice. So, I tried to explain to him what was up, but he was WAY more interested in hearing his on voice, and low functioning logic on how we were at this situation. His voice was condescending, and he was wildly waving and pointing his finger. Worst experience I've ever had in any store in Toronto. This is my first ever online review, and I hope its my last negative one. There are many other bike shops out there, shop around. Advice to the store owner, perhaps give some training to Robyn in customer service and human interaction. It will go a long way in keeping your business healthy. Best of luck.

First time in the store looking to get cork handlebar tape. Store is a good size and seems to offer adequate selection and supply. Staff is approachable and helpful. I didn't end up buying there since the cork tape in stock was $$$ above MEC's.

I really like this place. Kale and his team have been really good to me, even when I was just coming in for some free advise or browsing. Having walked into so many bicycle shops downtown, Cycle Solutions is a refreshing, friendly and helpful minority. No air of superiority or pretentious, surly service. None of the intimidating cycling pro attitude, they were attentive and have a sense of humour. I have been going often as my LBS to get minor things and each time; very helpful. I started cycling last year and they're genuine in helping fulfill my needs, listen to what I want and try to find fixes (like a rack that ensures I don't kick my bag with my heels). When they don't have something on hand, they try and find a solution and suggest things. Pricing and costs are upfront, and what really earns them my 5-stars is they don't try to nickel and dime you and milk the customer for money (thanks for the tube Kale!). I recently bought a new bike from them and the set-up and service has been great.
