::I was expecting books about octopi and various sea creatures, but instead the books here taught me all about international relations and Canadian Studies. It just makes me wonder why it's called Octopus Books. I know octopi are intelligent, so maybe they can read, but there's no way an octopus can go to this book store. First of all, there's no water near the bookstore, so I don't think any octopi would survive, Also, Ive never heard of an Octopus outside of the aquairium anywhere near Canada, let alone Octopus Books, and I'm sure the commute would be terrible. If I ever meet an Octopus, I'll ask him/her if they can read, and if so then ask if they would like to read about international relations, and then I'd suggest this bookstore to them. I'd also ask them which of their eight arms they prefer to use, particularly when turning the page to read books. Also I'd like to know if octopi are ambidextrous, or if they have a dominant tentacle or two.

::I had the best time browsing their great selection of books and picked up a Slingshot organizer and Leanne Simpson book. The person working was friendly and interesting to chat with and gave us ideas of books to read but also really listened to our ideas and thoughts- they weren’t just trying to sell us something.

::Frustrating experience. I bought a course book from them, but as I started to read it I realized that there were multiple pages of the book that were falling out. I thought it was just one random page at first, so I had marked it up - because it is a course book- but it was literally the whole book. They refused to exchange it, and didn't do anything to help me get a new book, and didn't offer to contact the manufacturer or anything. It was a $40 book - so no cheap. The woman was really condescending. When I suggested that she take a look at the other books, because it was happening to other other people in my class - she did not seem to care at all.
