  A wonderful stretch of lake used in the winter to extend the distance of the Rideau Canal! This area has a great pavilion on the one end with food vendors, washrooms, and a building to put your skates on, right on the ice! It’s also home to the Ottawa Ice Dragon Boat Festival; an awesome evening worth watching if not participating in! They do an excellent job of keeping the skate-able ice surface clean with trucks and tractors right on the ice. They are regularly checking ice depth for safety. What a wonderful area!

  Free 2 hour parking across from Dow's Lake Pavillion when you eat at Mexi's.
