::Canadian courts are one of the best systems in the world. Yes in a lot of cases lawyers are needed but it is still perfectly navigatable on your own if you need to. Most people that leave 1 star reviews on here is just simply because they lost their case

::I had a very hard time trying to find someone to speak to for assistance. The provincial court was much more helpful but I have to wait for someone to call me back within 48 hours. Too long, in my opinion.

::What happened to me in this morning made me really doubt the law system in Alberta. I had an appealing case against the RTDRS, where the officer made the final decision not based on the law at all. In the appealing process, the legal files were not prepared properly by the court, and the judge in room 1001 kept saying that the law cannot cover everything, the officers can make decisions on their own judgement. This is against the rule, "innocent until proved guilty", and this will give the chance to the officers to do bad things, such as discrimination, corruption, etc. Is this the law system that Albertans want?

::Five filing windows for Provincial Court and only one is open. Six people waiting in line, each for over half an hour while one person talks confusingly with the clerk. This happens far too often at this Court Office. Provincial Court is designed for self representatives, many of whom have no idea how to navigate the legal system. There needs to be more than a single clerk working. This is why people get upset while waiting to file.
