  If you knit, it's the place to go. Staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. In late Autumn they hold classes from beginners to season ones.

  I went to yarn forward to get my machine serviced 6 months ago, since getting it "serviced" its been nothing but headaches. I've returned twice more to them for more "repairs" before taking it to a repairman I used to" favour in Cornwall. There he tells me "no wonder you are having problems they botched the job. They replaced parts on your brother with parts from a singer. They even sanded and crazy glued said down to make them fit." Having heard this I am appalled. I spent 300$ on botched repairs from Yarn Forward. Avoid this place at all costs!

  These ladies are always cheerful and able to troubleshoot any problems you might be having. Great selection of beautiful yarns (my favourite is the marble chunky), and reasonably priced! In general, consider this yarn store a bit more expensive but considerably higher quality than Michael's, but more inexpensive and with fewer fancy 'specialty yarns' than Wabi Sabi. I'm planning on taking a class with them in the new year, and I expect it will be fantastic.

  I've been going back to the store for yarn and knitting advice for almost ten years. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Nice to have a craft store downtown and people to ask advice. Weekends can be busy.
