  Upward dog is special. Steve ( my masseur ) really understood my needs and I'm hoping to go monthly because I've had such a positive effect from it in my day to day. I've tried many options, all of which were expensive and have almost zero results - but after 2 sessions at Upward Dog I feel like I've seen a physiotherapist, chiro + massage all in one! Yoga next.

  If you want to find yourself, you need to visit this center. This is a small cozy studio. Friendly and helpful staff. You will find here classes for every taste and level of advancement. Teachers find an approach to each person. Different levels of yoga, including acro yoga, pilates, barre and excellent massage therapy. Everyone can find something for themselves.

  Fantastic studio in the heart of our Nation's capital. This studio has classes for everyone & accommodates an array of styles for every taste. I finished my YTT with Elizabeth & Garrett recently and it was such a high quality, educational, challenging, yet very rewarding program. Thank you Upward Dog!

  I recently completed my 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Upward Dog with Elizabeth & Garrett. I found their Yoga Night School offering very comprehensive and practical for the working professional. With the focuses both on Yoga philosophy and physical anatomy plus the practical teaching time, I feel well prepared to begin teaching. The studio itself is this unique gem in the Byward Market. The building itself has such character. The teachers and staff are friendly and helpful. All combined makes for an amazing Upward Dog experience and atmosphere.

  Love this studio - especially the barre classes! I have been a member here for several years and the atmosphere is so positive. Always time between classes to settle and b-r-e-a-t-h-e. So many people I have met in class have been coming for years. Great instructors, and the owner, Tatiana Eremina teaches a mean barre class. A must try add on to your yoga practice.
