First time shopping at this location. Very impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the store. Had a pleasant encounter with the employees; two nice, young women who seemed to be fairly educated on the products carried. Would definitely recommend to others and go again, for sure!

Great variety of products. Already know what I want going in, but HORRIBLE eyebrow threading and not friendly over the phone. When she was finished I walked out basically ready to cry. When she said all done I literally looked at myself and said "Wow, that's a lot off" she busied herself quickly. I have struggle 90s brows now that'll take forever and a half to grow back. No Christmas photos for me. Really wish I read the eyebrow threading reviews prior to going. Wasn't going to post but thought I'd hopefully save some other poor girl the experience of losing all their brows.

Do you guys even thread eyebrows? I went there 3 times this week, and she wasn't available or working for the 3 days I work. Like cmon, even when I call they don't answer. It clearly states that walk ins are available when it's clearly not.

I'm starting to feel like it's an employee requirement to act rude here. This is a consistent experience for me. Right before I go in I always think, "meh, maybe this time I'll luck out with a good, nice, and helpful employee". NOPE. Hasn't happened yet. You'd think I'd have something more important on my mind walking in, like which products I'd like to purchase. But the thought that always comes to me while heading in is focused on how I know the associate will be horrible. And don't get me wrong, I go in there with absolute positive, friendly energy each time. Your company needs to change things up. Either treat the employees better, or if you're already treating them well, hire employees that don't look like they have a stick shoved up their ass for the entire customer encounter. This is specifically the Rideau Centre location but has happened at Tanger when I've visited once as well. Your products are good, the layout is nice, but all I want to do when I get in there is buy the thing I need and get the hell out of there... forget the browsing. I'm really hoping someone involved with Trade Secrets reads this and uses it as constructive criticism.

I went into this location to purchase some purple/blue shampoo. I did not know which shampoo I needed as I had just gotten my hair done professionally. When I entered I asked an employee if they had any of these products- ' what one do you want' - I was unfamiliar so I was taken aback at her rude response. I asked what the difference was and she explained. When she finished explaining I asked which one I would need as I was still uncertain.. She told me that I needed blue. After I read the box- I questioned her saying are you sure- as the model was a brunette with copper on her ends. - I am now platinum blonde with some brown roots. She assured me this is what I needed - despite my hesitation I listened to her since she works there. I went to my salon to make sure and solve this since I was still uncertain. They told me if I would have used that blue shampoo my hair would be a light green/blue shade as my hair is so light. I would of had to get my hair re done and that was 300$. I simply went back to trade secrets 10 minutes later to see the lady who helped me- her shift was finished and she was no longer present. I then explained to the other lady what happened and just wanted a refund as I was sold a product that would have destroyed my new colour. She said all that was possible was a store credit. This is unacceptable as I was just in!! I am not taking a store credit as I don't shop there nor will I again. I cannot stress enough- if I used this there would be a bill from my salon to this company.
