Great little museum. Has some really interesting displays explaining the history of grain and farming in Alberta. There's a great model train display showing grain being shipped to the coast which highlights some creative ways they built the railroad to get through the Rockies. Definitely a good place to bring kids to get a sense of how this aspect of Albertan agriculture functions. There are some practical displays that kids will enjoy and the staff member who was there at the time did an okay job of trying to make things interesting for our kids. The staff member didn't seem to care too much though as we were only a family, not a school group, so it felt like they didn't want to invest much effort in things. I'd say it's an interesting museum where you could spend up to about an hour exploring the history of grain.

Interesting museum focusing on the agricultural development of the prairies. Was a busy place when we visited, as the museum was hosting a school group. The curator apologized for not having more time to spend with us, as he was tending to the large group - but we still managed to chat about a few topics. A few highlights of the museum include: a recreation of an elevator agent's office, a large model railroad depicting grain transport to the port, and numerous agricultural implements. If you have an interest in agriculture or the grain-handling industry, this museum is a must-stop at attraction.

What a great place to visit on a slow afternoon! I learned more about grain and agriculture in Canada then I thought I would. The curator, Alan, was so friendly and knowledgeable, he set up the model train for us and even put a movie up in the theatre. Thanks Alan!
