Great displays and exhibits. We had an off site meeting there and the staff made it very comfortable. Surroundings are well suited to some fresh air during breaks.

I totally recommend the brunch on Sundays! Delicious food, really good service, and nice place. After the brunch don't forget to visit the museum ;) Great place to visit with the whole family!

Today enjoyed the Easter brunch at Fort Calgary, It was beyond expectation, superlative and scrumptious. The wait staff were very accommodating and patient but run off their feet. They earned every dollar. The brunch price includes a tour of the museum which is worthwhile visiting if you have time. We must go soon to tour the museum as I love history.

In the heart of old Calgary, at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, Fort Calgary is the site of the original Northwest Mounted Police fort. The Fort is a look into the history of Western Canada and the founding of Calgary. Fort Calgary is also the southeast end of Calgary's new "Riverwalk"; a runner-up for a North American-wide urban planning award. A beautiful walkway, 'River Walk', transverses the south bank of the Bow River between Ft. Calgary and the Center Street Bridge in China Town. The walk is being extended to the new Aux Claire Park to access the pedestrian bridge known as the 'Peace Bridge' over to the north side of the Bow River. When completed, the new pedestrian/cycle system will extend from Ft. Calgary through East Village to Kensington in the west with access to Princes' Island and the Zoo. The main feature of this walkway is the unique variety of concrete finishes used in it's construction by one of the elite concrete crews in the city.

As much as I miss the organic trails you can find in Edmonton. I always always enjoy my river walks on the river pathway system! Amazing scenery, seriously absolutely gorgeous. And if your close enough to the river to hear it, heavenly. And the little bits of organic trails on the river bank brings me back to the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton.
