  Steve helped me walk again. He literally rescued me off the street at Burrard & Georgia one morning as I was heading to Sitka for an appointment. As I walked, my leg became so tight and stiff I couldn't take another step. Steve came out of Sitka, with a crutch in hand, and escorted me safely across Burrard during morning rush hour. And while standing in front of Hotel Van, he diagnosed me (correctly!) with not one but two meniscus tears. And then sent me to emerg. I can’t say enough good things about Steve! I’ve had a number of leg issues and Steve is nothing if not thorough, asking thoughtful questions and really listening to my answers and finding effective solutions. His approach is holistic. He has shown me how my knee pain affects my feet, neck, shoulders, and posture. How my physical pain directly relates to emotional stress and my personality. Steve has given me tools and cues (along with some great analogies!) to ease and manage my pain. When my neck starts to ache, I use one of his cues to correct my posture and at the same time think about what is going on at the moment that likely triggered the pain. Steve has examined my gait, my posture, how past injuries have changed the way I walk and hold myself. He's not only given me great exercises that really make a difference for these issues, but he's also shown me how relaxation techniques, visualization and journaling all help to alleviate my pain. Steve's the best!

  I have received the best care at Sitka! I have been seeing Lis for physio for the last 9 months so far and it's so nice to have reliable care that actually works. What ails me is not an immediate or easy fix, but I feel assured that my visits with Lis and Carla for kinesiology have results that build on each other and will get me back to 'normal'. I completely trust in them and the personalized treatments and exercises that they have given me. I never feel rushed and each treatment they are assessing and reassessing things to make sure that I am getting the proper corrections that my body needs. This is no cookie cutter treatment and there is no one size fits all and I truly appreciate that as I have heard different stories from others that have seen different physios. I have recommended a couple people to Sitka and love singing their praises!

  Liz has been amazing! I’ve been to physio in the past, but nothing compared to the authenticity, care and hands on treatment that Liz and Sitka has provided. With out getting too personal, I’ve been going for about 6 months now, and my issues have gotten better. Thank you!

  Excellent diagnosis for my knee! After seeing other Physios, Elisabeth was recommended to me by a person of trust, physio herself. I was really impressed by her holistic approach and attention to find the root of my problem. Very warm welcome

  I've been seeing Steve for pelvic pain associated with pregnancy and he's fantastic! He shows me how to do exercises that help to correct my positioning and strengthen my core, while ensuring that those exercises are suitable/not too difficult for my growing bump (I'm now 7 months pregnant). He patiently answers all of my questions, and best of all, he writes down very detailed instructions so I'm able to effectively replicate the exercises on my own and continue to improve in between sessions. Thank you, Steve!
