This is a great neighborhood hardware store, and it has great regular hours. However, on most holidays it is closed, the Weather website will give no indication of this fact and neither will the store if you call it the answering machine is just the generic message.

Very friendlyl staff that have been willing to help find getting the right stuff that I need.

This staff is very unhelpful and in no way eager to assist you. The website offers little product information regarding price and availability and directs you to contact the store. When you do, the employees are rude and will not walk over to an item to check a price for you despite calling that specific department. The customer service line also loops you around to contact the store and offers no help. Over all this negative experience, coupled with the stores poor display, inconsistent stock, and rude staff can guarantee Home Hardware in Cabbagetown will not get another dime from me.

I really appreciate this neighbourhood hardware store. The owner is great and so are most of the staff. Friendly and helpful, they know their stock and will order all kinds of things on request.

Went to get keys cut. Had my downhill bike with me. I asked the teller politely if I could quickly leave my bike at the front while I grab what I need so it didn't get stolen and she said it was okay. This other male employee came over to me as I brought my bike in and started yelling rudely at me saying I couldn't take my bike inside. It was hardly an inconvenience to them and I am a paying and previously to this experience regular local customer. I will now find a new hardware store to go to where I am treated well by the employees. I am the customer after all.
