Went there for an event. The tv in the lobby indicated clearly which room the event was being held, great start. Once came the time for the meal, it's like it was everyone's first service. Nobody knew what was in the food they were serving. Not good if you have allergies. It was a total mess when it came time to switch between salad and main meal. Our bread plates were removed far too quickly and others stayed until even after we received the dessert. No consistency. Although the servers were nice, they never followed up on simple requests. It would have been nice if we would of had someone come back to inform us no tea was available that evening so an alternative option could have been served. The lady who wanted tea got nothing at all because the server didn't come back to let her know no tea was available.

Booked a room for one night. The room was on the main floor. Room was fairly large (double queen) and was kept clean. Heating worked wonderfully, bathroom was old by adequate. Hot tub was closed understandably but pool was kept to an unusable temperature. Television signal was poor and would often cut-out and one could easily hear other patrons in the adjacent rooms. Restaurant was delicious and well-priced both for breakfast and dinner. A fairly average hotel. Nothing extraordinary but nothing terrible either.

Regularly book at this hotel. Usually stay here when in Sudbury for 1-2 days. Staff is very friendly and generally helpful. On my most recent visit, I had requested to stay for 2 nights, both nights I was required to show ID as well as my credit card in order to book the room for the night. On my way out, I acknowledge to the front desk I was leaving and left the city. Days go by, and my credit card was charged an additional night. When speaking to the hotel Management [Peter St Germain] he informed me that someone else had EXTENDED my room without showing ID and without me being present. I simply requested for a refund on the additional charge as it was someone else using my credit card, and the hotels staff mistake for allowing this room to be booked by a different individual not proving identification. The Management [Peter St Germain] refused my refund. Stating "you did not check out of the room properly when you left" *WARNING* Unless you have written documentation when you check out of your room. Any random person can request that your room will be booked for an additional night. Any random person can charge your card and provide your room number without showing Identification.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament on the weekend the pool was freezing the whole weekend, and hot tub was not working. Hotel says its non smoking but the whole weekend I think every room on our floor was smoking in them as the hallways stunk of smoke. This hotel also allows dogs, so be prepared for barking! We thought as a team we would do an easy dinner at the restaurant on site, BIG MISTAKE! TERRIBLE SERVICE and COLD FOOD! We went at 5pm to tell them there would be approx. 30 people for 6:30 they said they could accommodate us, (I wish they told us they couldn't). We all sat separately, and my family sat at the largest table that had 6 adults and 4 kids, they couldn't even get our food out at the same time, 2 hours later one kid and his parents at our table still didn't have their food! One mom in our group was told 2 hours after ordering that they were out of what she ordered, then she ordered another meal, 15 mins later was told they didn't have that either. I had Chicken stir fry and ended up with the bone from the stuffed chicken in my stir fry....the response from the waitress was "well when they line things sometimes things just fall" I was shocked, no offer to comp anything for us! I honestly felt like walking out without paying for our meals, my sons fries weren't even cooked! The restaurant manager was non existent too. Knowing that the hotel was booked with hockey teams they should have been more prepared! I will never be back.
