  They are great, had my ETest done there and had a general check up for my 7 year old car to see if anything needs to be fixed. The gentle man manning the front desk named Andrew was very nice and kept a professional manner. He gave me a list of things to be fixed and brought me into the garage to show me why they need to be fixed or replaced. It was a very positive experience with Andrew there. To be able to see the problems with my own eye just assures me that they are doing their job to fix up everything instead of trying to scam customers since they don’t know much about the mechanical stuff about cars.

  I came here a year ago for a pressure test when I was worried about a head gasket issue. The techs told me that the pressure test was fine but that there was a leak in my coolant expansion tank. I hadn't noticed a leak so it was a bit odd to me, but I said thanks and started to get on my way. The tech then stopped me and told me that the expansion tank and radiator were all one unit, so I would need a new radiator - this is not true. The tech then asked me if I wanted a quote on a new radiator... I said no but he had already pulled one and told me that it would be just shy of $1000 and he could order it right away (he was pushy about making the order). In reality, the coolant expansion tank in my car is removable and a replacement can be purchased for around $25 CAD. I didn't wind up replacing the tank because there wasn't a leak anyway. For me the visit wasn't bad because the charge for the pressure test was very reasonable and they got it done quick. The last part didn't sit well with me and I think people who aren't familiar with their cars should avoid getting major repairs done here.

  Do no get a safety test here. They will tell you something big needs to be fixed when nothing is wrong. I didn't believe them when they said I had a grade 3 oil leak in my car so I went to another repair shop and they said the car was good to go.

  Great bunch of guys! I have always had good service with Midas from various locations in BC and Alberta and when I recently moved over to Ottawa, we just picked this one and I'm so glad we did. Got our car inspection done and they were very honest in telling me what was needed to get done. Got them done and I noticed right away that my car felt so much better after the service. Very happy with the service. When I got my Ontario plates, they installed it for me no cost, even though I called just moments before they closed. They were very accommodating and I'm so happy that they are so willing to help. Andrew is the nicest guy you can ever meet. Will definitely go back. Once you find a gem, you don't want to go anywhere else. Keep it up! :)
