I will definitely be back to this location in the future. I required my rotors and break pads to be replaced. So, I initially asked for a quote over the phone and they came out as having the best price for parts and labour compared to other service locations. Additionally, I had gone with them because they had the best online ratings and reviews, compared to other service locations with the vicinity. The staff were friendly, honest and straight forward. They were open early, 7am, so I could easily drop my car off and make it to work on time. After dropping my vehicle off they inspected it and called me soon after to confirm that the price and the work that needed to be done. They even worked on my break callipers at no extra fee and finished the work that morning. After all was said and done, they gave me a $50 discount and a lifetime warranty on the break pads. The new parts were of quality and they did provide me with my old parts, as I had requested. Needless to say, I was very impressed by the service they provided. My vehicle ran smoother afterwards and I easily passed my safety inspection.

Brian and Sheldon who run Speedy on Bronson are some of the most trustworthy mechanics in the Ottawa region. I can say this as I come from an automotive background and they’ve always been upfront of what I need and even more importantly, what I don’t need. I’ve recommended Speedy on Bronson to my wife, immediate family and friends and they’ve all agreed their service and expertise are of the highest standards. I personally think Brian also really goes the distance in customer service relations as I’ve primarily dealt with him and have always left his garage with typically better quotes / bills than his competitors. Check them out if you’re looking for a reputable mechanic who’s trustworthy and believe in long term customers instead of gouging prices.

I am currently moving from Montréal to Ottawa and had to get a safety done. This was technically the second one I had done in 3 months and this one costed me over 1k in repairs and probably more since I no longer trust this place. I drive a Subaru Outback 2010, the cost of part are high so I expect to pay high prices for broken parts but not to replace good parts. They claimed that I had cracking on my bushing on my front A frame, and that my head light compared to my brand new one was fogged. First things first, the cracks on my bushings. At the time I found it odd that this was an issue and was so closely monitored by the Ontario gouvernement, since then I have been informed that this is a common issue and have excepted the reason of the change. Although the very same day after the repair, I was feeling shifting under the driver side and a popping sound when ever i pulled out of my driveway or a parking lot. I didn't go back right away cause I was going back after I fixed my light anyways. I had mentioned it to them saying that noise was new and not existing. They looked at it and said I had rusted bracket on my exhaust and repaired by welding it. Now I thought that sounded responsable. It was not, on my outback the exhaust passes on the passenger side and not the driver. As to add more insult to me I decided to inspect the warning they gave me for a rusted flange and saw they never welded anything and it looked like they may of messed with it so I would fail an E-test in the future ... Needless to say the popping and shifting is still happening. Update: the sounds is the spindle where the ball joint is attached was cracked and it can be cause by two things. Over torquing on the rod of the ball joint or hitting the mother of all pot holes. Second the clouding of the head light. For those of you that are somewhat car savey or understand that the newer headlight are made of a poly-vynel plastic that is know to degrade under UV if not protected. well mine had been polished and refurbished when I had bought it nearly a year ago, the other was damage by a fender bender and was replaces full out. The safety section states that as long as the light pattern does not get defused its good, but this leave a lot open to interpretation... just to buy this part new is $600 from the dealer.... like hell i will pay that and the market price for used was $150 not guaranteeing that it would pass.... So tried my hand at fixing it myself. The comment that was passed left me very un-amused by the service. I will give them the one star for the fact that they acted professionally and did the work in a day for the replacement. But this is the last time i will use speedy for anything other then a oil change and even there It will have to be my last resort. New note: was contacted after the the review. Still hold my opinion and don’t want anything to do with this place. I want everyone to know there are alway three sides to a story your, mine and the truth. But by no means do I want to stop anyone from try this guy out but I know enough about my car to know I don’t trust them.

First time experience with the Bronson location, I required a new exhaust system, they installed for half the cost the dealer quoted me for parts alone, in fact my dealer service agent recommended that I go to a muffler shop as they would have to order parts from Toronto stating it would be quicker and cheaper to not do it through them. Same day service, no waiting for parts, friendly service. I will be back.
