I always feel a little nervous trying a new fitness studio, especially if it’s a workout I’ve never done anything like before (Climb). The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming, and I felt confident by the time the class started as a result of being fully briefed on how to use the machine and what to expect. Now I’m hooked and can’t wait to do it again (and beat my result!). Love it.

Not open early. They'll be closed by the end of the year.

The Climb Absolutely love this class! Arrive a bit early and pick out your versa climber and if you've never been the motivator will guide you on setup and proper form etc. Try to get a quick warmup in before you start on the versa climber. You will climb to the beat of the music, just like spin class so if you understand how to count beats it should come pretty natural. The motivator will put you through different workouts ranging from HIITs, long/short strides, pulses, and serious knee high climbs. Try to push down with your heels as much as possible, the more you're on your toes the more prone to numb feet - also be mindful of how tight the foot straps are. As this exercise is new to me your grip and forearms might get a little sore but expected. I find the movement on the versa climber keeps my core engaged and really feel the benefits though the workout. The versa climber will gauge your distance in meters, present calories burned, and stride length so after your first class you have a benchmark to compete against for next class which is exciting.

Went here for a late Friday w/o. Was happy that there was a place open on Good Friday. Things I liked about Kult: 1. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. 2. They did not try to pressure me into signing up for a membership. 3. Workout was challenging. 4. Music was AWESOME. 5. Pretty cool atmosphere. Things I did not like as much about Kult: 1. The Kitchen has this "black grass" as the floor. It was difficult to kneel on with bare knees, and kind of slippery when we were instructed to do downward dog. It made the cool down and renegade rows really hard. 2. Since it is dark in the Kitchen, it is kind of hard to see the exercises that are written on the white boards. It would be nice to maybe have those signs bigger and illuminated somehow. 3. The workout is intense. I wish I had more time to warmup before launching into things. Classes are only 50 minutes so there is room to tack on a bit more warmup time at the start. 4. They closed the garage style door when we were working out. It made it difficult to run out for water between stations. Overall: Worth checking out, especially if you want the kind of workout that will you will feel the next day. I have one more pass and I will probably use it to try the climbing session. I think I will pass on coming back to the Kitchen, but that is just my personal preference. Update: Went to a climbing session today (April 12, 2018). Here is my review on the workout. Good things about the climbing session: 1. for 30 minutes you probably will not get a more intense workout in; 2. great music; 3. fun and happy instructor; and, 4. very easy to learn. Things I did not like as much about the climbing session: 1. because it is so short no real warmup; 2. my toes got a little numb (a woman I chatted with in the change room after experienced the same thing); and, 3. it was pretty hard on my grip. Overall Climbing: A perfect workout for someone who only has a short window to go and get their sweat on. I do not think I will make myself a regular, but I could see myself coming again sometime in the future.
