Getting in contact with someone over the phone is close to impossible. Getting there and trying to speak to someone in real time is also near impossible. Not a very motivating visit.

Lack of customer service, not enough people on the floor. Higher prices on the same stuff you can get across the street at Home Depot for way cheaper. Only reason we went with them was because one of home depot's lumber cutting machines was down.

The place is massive so make sure you have e a game plan or else you can expect to be here a while. We came here on a weekend and there was only one or two staffs on the floor so we had to wait to be helped. We also ordered in bulk and it took some time for the staffs to locate where the inventory was left in. Expect to wait even longer if the inventories are stored on the highest shelf as they need to find a staff who are qualified to operate a forklift to grab the items. Always go to the clearance section for some in store special and discounted items. For bulk order you can also ask to extend the pickup period. Don't forget to apply for the credit card to take advantage of the one time 10% discount in the form of a gift card.

They don't have enough sale assistants, and those who work don't really know products. You can waste a lot of time trying to find things. Probably, only contractors are the ones who can easily navigate in the store and find what they are looking for. But it is hard for end customers...

I have called the Stockyards store several times regarding my install and I'm so not happy right now. We went into the store on Monday December 11th to inquire about an exterior door installation. We paid for them to come measure ect. We haven't heard anything from anyone for 3 weeks. I called the store and left 3 messages and no one has called back. I called there today and they transferred me to installs. Once again I got an answering machine. I hung up and called back. The same person answered and I said I don't want to leave a message please transfer me to a manager or anyone that can please help me. She was very pleasant. The manager picks up and walks right over to installs himself to try to get someone. He informs me they are currently on a call. He asked if he could get my info so he could get the guy to call me back. I informed him that I have already left 3 messages. He assured me they would call back asap. Four hours go by and no one called so I emailed a complaint to head office. They promptly got back to me. A very helpful man from Stockyards named Peter called me shortly after. Apparently the person that sold the measure didn't do any of it properly so it never even went to installs. So my options were to start over which would take about another 6ish weeks or they could give me a refund. I opted for the refund and will be going to Home Depot. This is horrible customer service. Totally unacceptable. You should really train your staff so you are at least somewhat on par with your competition.
