  Merchandising in the store differed greatly from that of the average Canadian retailer. Boxes of fruits and vegetables were placed on the floors and prices were handwritten on labels, showing a lack of care from the perception of an individual accustomed to Canadian stores. They also kept dehydrated fish in boxes at room temperature when the packages stated “Keep Refrigerated”. That being said, the staff were very friendly and excited to help customers find products they needed, which created a sense of community. They stocked specific items that the Filipino community would look for.
