::A very nice well located building. Phyllis a terrific representative and agent on site. Mike and Tania are 2 very hard working dedicated people who go the extra mile for tenants. Building is clean and elevators were out , but no fault of Homestead as a pipe blew and flooded the shafts. Homestead is lucky to have such good people to run this site. Shane the Property Manager is very helpful also. I have no complaints about staff but I do have lots of praise for their good service and pleasant personalities. I happily renew my lease !

::Don't rent here. March 23 2018 - Extra staff here for fire alarm testing; staff still manages to start the buildings generator "DIESEL", next to an operating air intake fan or vent and flooded the entire building (p3 to penthouse) with exhaust. March 24 2018 8:30 am - 1 pm smell from diesel generator permeates apt and common areas. March 24 2018 - 9:30 pm 10:30 pm - Smell of yeasty raw sewage permeates apt through bath vent March 25 2018 - 4 am to 6:30 am Smell of moldy sewage permeates apt through bath vent March 25 2018 4:45 PM - Someone on the 1st floor is bbqìng. The smoke is going up the building air intake and can be smelled all the way up to the penthouse. March 25 2018 10pm; sewage smell seeping in from bathroom... April 02 2018 945pm sewage smell seeping in from bathroom April 04 2018 The hallway heating vent was turned off in time for our last snowstorm and blast of frigid. They kept it on for maybe 3 or 4 weeks this year (first time in 2 years - didn't clean it before turning it on, you could feel the allergens in the air and lungs) April 05 2018 7AM - No hot water in the apt/no shower today for work. The notice for the water shutdown was for last Wednesday 9 am not for today. April 12 2018 Wake up to the smell of pesticides in the hallway and the taste in my mouth. GROSS. It was either Sprayed overnight or this morning. Found a ladybug dead outside our door. No prior notice given. On April 21 spoke with the office Bianca who reports that all the common areas were treated. Were these pesticides applied by certified professionals? April 21 2018. We get notice, call the office for info and are informed that they will be placing a brown pesticide gel under our sink. Safe for pets and children. 2 years ago we rid our apt of pests organically. Now we have to put up with these idiots doing whatever it is they have been doing that didn't work. like laying bait. No thanks buddy. I'll wipe that off right away. We are almost out of here. Almost. We gave notice March 31st. April 21 still no interest statement or balance owing on last months rent. instead of a confirmation of receipt of our notice to terminate, they gave us notice for "measure for renovations". These are the same prompt staff who took 90 days for windows and 70 days for a tub drain. So prompt to measure and charge for damage not found in the apartment ... but timely reno's and statements while we live here ..ABSENT. Just so you know my apt is in better shape then when your inept staff handed me the keys. re: class and cleanliness: In 2016 the supers felt it necessary to post a notice by the elevators stating that raising pigeons on your balcony was unacceptable and that balcony's would be monitored for this very act. re.re: Class and cleanliness; in the elevator(1) their was two guys arguing about which floor smelled more like weed, but they were arguing like they were bragging that their own floor smelled more like weed than the other. re.re.re: Class and cleanliness and mold; we used to be able to smell the grow ops from the elevator... but I guess now the tenants are using charcoal filters. Improvements! FOR More than 10 WEEKS WE WERE DOWN TO 1 ELEVATOR FOR REPAIRS upgrades. Result? = ONE STILL PERMANENTLY DOWN. New staff on site is a good improvement, good energy. Some cosmetics being taken care of, congrats on changing out the garbage (new cans) in a more timely fashion. Also noticed less "cabage-sewage" smells coming from the vents... but how long will that improvement last I wonder? Another whole week?

::By far the worst place I've lived in Ottawa. Even though the apartment themselves are alright, Its not worth it due to the horrible and rude staff that run this place. Completely incompetent when handling residential concerns. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. The lady (I believe her name is Tanya) who works in the main office is by far the most rude, sadistic and trashy individual I've personally come across in all my years of renting. How a person with her attitude and mentality got this job is beyond me! I urge all current tenants who've had problems with her in the past to sign a petition letter against her and send it to head office. You all deserve much better treatment!

::I have been in this building 8 months and it has been the worst 8 months renting ever. Elevators are ALWAYS broken. They decided to replace the windows in DEC -30 weather while I have 3 animals in the apartment. The contractors were RUDE they left a mess everywhere, they left my bedroom window OPEN after replacing it ALL DAY. The paint they painted with doesn’t even match the colour of the apartment and the dry wall was done horribly. Staff do not give proper notice of entry for repairs. I have had repair people show up days late, days early and days they weren’t supposed to be here interrupting my life and work schedule as I have animals to cage when work is being done. The water has been off 3- 4 times and building repairs take WAY longer than they are supposed to. There are CONSTANT fire alarms going off.. I live on the top floor so I am not going to collect my 3 pets and walk down 13 flights of stairs every false alarm.. this makes me worry for if there is a real fire! Also I have been told by other tenants that there are bed bugs in this building. The staff needs to be more courteous and professional when talking to tennabts as I have heard quite a few rude conversations go on outside my apartment door between my neighbours and the staff. NOW I am the most laid back person , I have never ever written such a review for any property I have rented. I’m telling you if this place can bother me this much stay away. There is always something wrong inconvieniencing my daily life. I can’t wait to move out!!!!
