  Came around Christmas time. Stayed one night. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy but it is very well maintained. There’s a nice fireplace in the lobby and a cozy seating area. The staff are friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained. It’s on whyte street so very close to tons of shops and restaurants.

  Nice clean rooms, centrally located, parking available. I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the ambitious cleaning staff vacuuming outside my door at 8am sharp despite the "do not disturb" sign followed by idle gossip at a volume loud enough to hear every detail. Never quite understood why hotels needed the halls vacuumed at 8 rather than noon... but it cost them 2 stars. Hope management is listening... eff off with the 8am cleaning regime... if guests are there past 8, they are probably trying to sleep... New guests check in after 1pm... What the heck? Room 312 March 2018.

  Great place to stay short or for a number of days! Convenience of Whyte Avenue with wonderful choices of restaurants and shopping the Varscona always satisfies our needs. The evening wine and cheese reception along with breakfast is a bonus and centrally located means you're close to the downtown core!

  A great hotel in an interesting part of Edmonton with great restaurants nearby. The complimentary breakfast is very good too! The hotel also has bikes​ that you can borrow free of charge (includes lock and helmet).

  Great room with a comfy bed. I miss having a tub and my shower took a while to get warm so that was not fun. The sheet on the bed was not a fitted sheet so it often can off the mattress which was annoying. Other than that it is a great hotel with a nice breakfast.
