::Accommodations were new and modern! Staff were very friendly and helpful! Has a fitness room/gym that’s pretty okay. Free breakfast was very good. Also has a small shop at the front desk that covers the basics. Rooms were clean. Tv had a good selection of channels. Also the front desk gave me free cake for a staff birthday! :D

::This hotel is now the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel has been upgraded and all the rooms have been redone with a very modern look. There is a complementary breakfast served every morning.

::It is no longer the Travel Lodge. It's Holiday Day Inn Waterfront. New Ownership. The purpose of my visit to the hotel was for a 2 day Mediation. It was not to say overnight. The hotel is super clean, has a modern twist, bright and feels happy! I loved the modern bright barn doors in the room with the living room suite/mini conference room. This will be a long review but worth the read for anyone who lives with any disability or knows someone who does live with a disability! I was greeted exceptionally well by a gentleman by the name of Chris at the Front Desk. There was a wonderful enthusiasm as soon as I walked in. Fast and efficient too! He was very patient with my slowness in doing things. I have some limitations (aka disability) making things difficult at times for me to exist like the average person. I had touched base with the hotel a head of time because I was concerned I might not be able to attend the meeting for any required length of time. The parties involved and booking the rooms on behalf of the Mediation were not entirely able to understand my limitations (aka disability) which felt humiliating to have to go through any kind of request for "permission" and more letters and more explaining. It turns out the Hotel was able to manage all of it with very little expected of me to explain or do! I just said "I would need something like this....would you be able to swing that" and it was like magic...it happened! Heather, Coordinator for Events, went above and beyond to accommodate my limitations. Simple things like encouraging me to feel comfortable to arrive early and/or stay later, allowing me space unique to my limitations to sit, organize and set up files, finding creative solutions for me so that I didn't have to spend hours physically uncomfortable and exhausted sitting. All within a very quick business like conversation. These were all freebies. No extra charges for requiring these things because my way of life is a bit different! It truly was one of the best experiences I've had with being acknowledge for my limitations (whether visible or not) and respected as a person!! Amazing!

::Note: This is now a Holiday Inn Express. Staff informed me the change took place about 2 months ago. Very clean and bright hotel. All the furniture was new and spotless. Bathroom was very clean. Great view of the river and Detroit's skyline. Very friendly staff and happy that breakfast was included (although, I wish there were more food options).

::The room was clean and bed comfortable but room was small. The pool heater was not working so not able to use. Sounded like this was ongoing issue. Would have been nice to be advised of this before reservation made. Otherwise staff very friendly. Breakfast was average at best. Out of some of food when we got there at 9am and they were serving till 10 am.. Overall it was in walking distance to casino and the room was clean and the view was nice.
