::While visiting Ottawa for Christmas, my wife received a lovely shadow-box type framed dress. The dress was over 100-years old and was originally her great-grandmother's wedding dress. We were concerned how best to ship it back home. The staff at this UPS store were able to secure the glass in the frame and pack the whole piece up safely. We were able to ship the package out to the west coast and it arrived without any issues. I was amazed the glass had not broken. These people know what they are doing when it comes to packaging priceless materials. Thanks again.

::Really good customer service. It is true that if you do not have your box taped you have to buy a roll, but the rolls of packing tape are sold for half the cost you would pay at Canadian Tire. Trying to find parking at busy times of the day can be a challenge. The store itself deserves 5 stars, but the rates for shipping via UPS are significantly higher than via Canada Post, so I do not use this service as much.

::Update: although I wasn't planning to return to this store, an urgent shipment forced me to, the manager/owner was super friendly and went out of his way to try and get my shipment to destination in the fastest way possible! I felt the need to bring up what happened last time so they could improve, I had a lengthy discussion and he explained the details behind the policy and I to a certain extent understand where he is coming from. I do hope UPS would be able to offer these little services for customer in a way that works for both the corporation and consumers. I have added 2 stars to my review :) I've dealt with with store few times, I usually drop packages with pre-printed labels, I needed to tape up the box today and they wouldn't offer tape they said I had to buy one! even though a tape was handy on the desk! I call that terrible customer service as the least they could do is offer a piece of tape !
