  We pay 70 dollars a month and we can hardly load a site page let alone a movie on Netflix. I miss being with Shaw, we always had the best customer service with them and gladly paid 100 dollars for their fastest internet. Tbaytel has the worst customer service. We have no choice because we are out of city limits. Our last time with Tbaytel they charged us a 30 dollar late fee and disconnected our internet when we paid 6 days before our bill was due. They said it didn't process before our bill date so it counted as late. This happened another 3 times. Worst internet ever. Dial-up is faster. Save your money and go to Shaw. Even fiber is slow. Not to mention my boyfriend slipped on the property one day and badly hurt his leg and the workers walked over him and ignored him. Garbage internet and employees.

  As far as internet goes, it's a one star product. I'd say the same for mobile, but it's been a few years since I switched so things may have changed. I brought it up to 2 stars because they people working tech support that we've spoken to have always been friendly and helpful. I had ongoing issues with internet, I absolutely do not live in a rural area, paying about $75/mo for 130kbps of my "up to" 25MB. Being clocked at that speed and falling short on commitments due to being at an almost complete standstill (again) was my last push away. Shaw is cheaper and over 800x faster in my case. $75/mo to have a Netflix loading screen for 45 seconds before anything plays, and another 2 minutes before the picture is decent quality, **connected directly by ethernet**, isn't what I'd consider acceptable. I'm seriously disappointed in myself for letting myself get used to it for so long.

  My experience with Thunder Bay Tel has been a good experience ! Being a long time former Loyal Shaw customer I missed out on a lot of great tv channels,better working internet. And the basic phone plan is superb! The customer service is excellent,but the guys whom do the initial hook up,need to make sure everything is in working order before they leave as at my place , I had to make 3 services calls to get things innitially working. But overall,the rates are pretty good and the channels are so much better and so many less outages on my IPad. Thanks for the wonder service T.Bay Tel. And it's great to be back somewhere local. A thumbs up to you!!!
