  I came in looking for a shaving cream. I’ve tried expensive Lush creams, spa brands, drug store brands, classic barber brands, and only found one that didn’t irritate my skin or make me break out (and it was a set of pre-shave balm, and shave cream from a high-end brand). I was reluctant, but the staff were so quick to help, and very knowledgeable. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a shave this good!!!!! They helped me choose a unique, but affordable product that is so far my favourite one I’ve tried. Not to mention they used gender-neutral language in the process! And they have the BEST straight razor blades. Trust me. I’ve been coming to Stroked Ego for years, and they’ve never disappointed; from ties and shaving cream, gifts for others to treats for myself. Love them!!

  Friendly helpful staff this is a great little shop you don’t want to miss. As a permanent makeup artist with a studio nearby this is a convenient one-stop-shop for purchasing gifts for “him”. The barber located at the back of the floor does excellent work, too!

  Great menswear clothes. Friendly approachable staff. Excellent place to buy casual elegant clothes, cuff links, bow ties, underwear and socks.

  Nice men's clothing boutique that stands out even more in Ottawa because of the distinct lack of alternatives. Queer-friendly establishment. Size availability tends to run smaller and fit smaller as well. Probably better selection for those who are very fit/slim/thin than for thicker guys. If you have dog allergies, worth noting that there's a big dog in the store. She's very sweet and friendly though.
