::Sals is a Winnipeg standard for breakfast and lunchs. Breakfast at this location is good. Staff are quick and friendly. The decor in here though is definitely not as nice as some of other Sals in the city. Express is nice though if you want a quick meal

::There are two elderly ladies that work at the store I'm thinking they have been there for over 10 plus years if you ever have the chance to go into the Salisbury house on Main Street it's known as the Salisbury Express I guess they make the best breakfast around I don't know why they make it any different than any other Salisbury house but the other Salisbury houses should take note

::My boyfriend and I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon and a cheese nip expecting it to be better than what we make at home. Well the time came to pay for it and my boyfriend accidentally out a 3 percent tip. Knowing that the woman saw this i went to look in my bag for a some tip money to fix that problem. But i decided to wait until we ate our food because i wanted to see if they were "that unprofessional" as to go and mess with our food for that slight accident. Well, to get to the point. Those were the most horrible tasting and presentable sandwiches we had. On top of that she came over to out table to complain about the customer that brought in a 100 dollar bill and that they couldnt change it. Why bother customers with your other customers. The food seemed off while we were eating it. By the time we were done our disgusting meal, the both of us had stepped outside to throw it all up. 20 dollars for something i could make better at home. I wont be going there again. Here i was thinking this is going to be an amazing grilled cheese. It was slop. Thanks but no thanks. Its amazing to see how people work with customers.

::I don't frequent this place too much anymore as the prices are very high and very often I have heard racist remarks about certain ethnic groups from several regular customers. On one occasion I had to ask a regular customer to please keep his voice down. Plus ..WOW..are the women servers ever miserable! No smiles for anyone except their regulars. Especially the one at the register with glasses ...who immediately checked the receipt to see if I tipped. I don't tip for such unfriendly service. Also the one with the red glasses as well as the cook..both miserable. That pretty much covers all of them. The busboy was gracious when he brought me my food. One of my favorite servers was terminated. She was the only one of the women with a friendly smile and happy disposition. I dont understand why she was let go. They need friendly servers there ..not miserable ones. Hopefully the manager will address this problem because I'm certain I'm not the only one who notices these things. Most people won't comment..they will just go somewhere else and Sals loses business. I can't complain about the food...its always good. They just need friendly servers.

::I wouldn't go to Salisbury house any other day other than Tuesday in order to get the Tuesday deal. It's well worth it. This Salisbury house does not have table service. You go up to the till and you order. But your order is brought out to you to your table. It's hit-and-miss for the soup selection. There is always soap. But you never know what kind until you get there, but you can phone ahead and asked as well.
