::I tried to go here for a lunch hour, ordered as soon as the waiter gave me the menu, but I waited for an hour for my food and it never came. I ended up just having to leave, a little mad that I just had to go hungry that day. I have no idea if the food is good at all. I don't recommend going here for lunch or if you need quick service at all.

::Wonderful little restaurant with great meals. Fresh ingredients & great service. A lovely juice bar and always delicious desserts. Try the rebar salad and a coconut cream pie!!

::What a cute and quaint little restaurant! They have been here for over 20 years, so you know they’re doing something right. The food here is phenomenal, made from scratch, and sizeable portions. They make fresh juices cocktails at the bar, and they own their own bakery that serves up a mix of vegan and non-vegan morsels. When you’re their, have a glance at their cook book! You won’t regret it.

::Don't believe what you read about bad service. We just had a fantastic dinner at Rebar, visiting from Ontario. The staff was attentive and prompt, from the front door welcome to the warm exit. My wife is a vegan and I am a fresh food nut who is "vegan sympathetic." She had a fresh and abundant noodle bowl, and I had a great fish "burger." The food was hot, fresh, and carefully served. The atmosphere was charming and cozy. We will go back when we visit Victoria again.

::It had been years since my last visit here and the place looks exactly as I remembered it, minus the lack of the wheatgrass tray above the bar. A co-worker had just that morning talked about this place, and later that day a friend suggested going there for dinner. I decided to get the almond burger after what he said about how it was so much like meat. I also had the carrot soup as the side. After what seemed like they had forgotten our orders, considering the look on the servers faces, our orders finally arrived. The burger looked rather dry and uninteresting on the plate. A bite confirmed as much but it was tender and felt like a very loosely packed burger patty. It didn't taste like any meat I'd ever had, but wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe some special sauce on top would have made it a winner in me opinion. The soup tasted exactly like what you'd expect from a fresh carrot. Creamy and hot but maybe a touch to 'earthy' in flavour. Kind of like a green juice, for those not used to it.
