  ***EDIT: ....Iii come back on what I said.. I went there again yesterday (why you may ask! Because friends again! Only going there to support them) It seems like the sound guy opened his mind and put it less loud when the band members asked him to... And God it was a bliss! Still loud! But the good loud everyone's looking for! Just to see I dared take off one ear plug and... and there it was! Sweet hardcore rock energy ! ...Distinguishable instruments! ...Still painful but but too much! I even took both earplugs off during a quieter song! Thanks man; you made the experience enjoyable. I would have given 4 stars if the sound guy had not gone wild again with the band performing right after X D Tsss *** The sound guy there RUINS shows! I have been listenning to bands I know there and it sounds painful; I prefer them on my laptop speakers! Too loud, too much everything, lonnnnnng feedback effects !! It lasted for two songs yesterday; the lead singer could not even approach the mic! Or even the contrary: mics not even on for another band... I want to denounce that quite directly because it fells like a responsible thing to do: it's an immature ego trip and I am not the only one complaining; many are! Two band members reported that once they ask him to make changes during sounchecks, he answers he knows his job or cringes mutely.Another reported that, once, it was a different sound guy and it sounded much better. Many people left before the end of the show! As for me, I did not even remotely feel the fun I have listenning to these bands on my laptop speakers. And I kid you not: I was wearing earplug for safety and it was painful! I cannot imagine the damage on unprotected people's ears... Third or fourth time I have to experience this guy's torture. Drinks are fine; waiters are nice!

  An ok venue with mediocre drinks and a bit of an odd vibe. Quite dark and not a lively or particularly enjoyable array of people, but fine enough for a quick drink before going to your actual destination.

  This review is solely aimed at highlighting the wonderful service we received from "Katarina". Google maps led us to the Piranha Bar. We were just looking for a nice low-key place to day drink before we tackled our day. What an amazing little gem we found. Now I only say "little" due to the fact that it was around 2pm in the afternoon. There was more than enough space and the layout was fantastic. There's a very 80s-90s hard rock cafe-centric vibe at the Piranha Bar and it's amazing. Not only were the drinks and "Bomb Shots" amazing but Katarina was nothing short of pleasant when it came to service and communication. The vibe that came from this place along with the service has cemented a return visit from my fiance and I. If you want amazing music and amazing service go here.

  Que du positif sur cet endroit. Tous les bands que je connais qui y jouent ont toujours une belle expérience, le public adore y revenir, le staff, des barmaids aux doormans, sont ultra sympathiques et l'ambiance y est cool pour les amateurs de métal/rock.

  Always so much fun at the piranha! Drinks are affordable and the music is good! They have slots, pool table, karaoke, and lots of fun to be had. Great place to hang out with friends and throw back a few drinks. Bartending is always an A+. Always stop here when we go to Montreal.
