::Pendary is a real taste of history in my opinion. The service staff are knowledgeable and very kind. I have a 5 year old who wouldn't eat any of the food they offered but out server was so delightful.

::I stayed at the Pendray Inn and Tea House at the beginning of March and it was a lovely experience. The room was clean and the house was so neat! The gardens were starting to bloom so I cannot imagine how pretty they are in their prime! The Inn is very close to everything. We walked right over from the ferry dock and were able to check in early. The front desk called us a taxi to the Craigdarroch Castle but we were able to walk everywhere else. The breakfast in the morning was delightful! The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying at the Pendray Inn and Tea House!

::I went to this place by in September 2017 and it was amazing, unfortunately today was not the same. The service was very poor but what was even more disappointed was the food. The scones were under cooked, we were told fresh scones were being made but instead they re-heated the same ones we sent back. Initially we had 8 scones and they came back with 4, which were now burned. They forgot to refresh our tea and to provide us with new cutlery or side dishes for those of whom gave their used once upon returning the scones. On the other hand I must praise the waiter attitude towards the situation as he took care of the bill for us. For a $52 dollars per person is was very disappointing.

::I came here for afternoon tea with my family, and had a fairly good experience. In my opinion, the ambience Is much nicer than the afternoon tea at the Empress, and the service was better as well. The sandwiches were nice, however I wasn't crazy about the white chocolate lavender scones. The earl grey scones, on the other hand, were delicious. I especially appreciated the fact that the mommy and me kids menu was an excellent price at only $14! I would give 4 stars, however the clotted cream wasn't proper clotted cream, and we waited a fairly long time to be served our tea and food, despite the fact that the place wasn't. Nevertheless, I would recommend this tea house for anyone looking for a nice afternoon tea while in Victoria.

::Lovely old style manor house, with a view of the harbour. Interesting options for the afternoon tea. Some food is baked/cooked in house, with some desserts coming from local bakeries and patisseries. A couple of the desserts weren't to our liking, which is why I'm only giving 4 stars, however everything else was well worth the visit. Will definitely return to sample their breakfast options.
