::Whenever we are in Quebec City we must always pass by this coffee shop for they have the best pastries and the best tasting coffee in Quebec. My husband and I always have a wonderful time together at this place, the people behind the counter are friendly and much to my surprise, they speak English. We don't leave Quebec City without stopping by at this coffee shop.

::Great baked goods, lovely sandwiches and salads at a reasonable price. Very popular though and you may have a bit of waiting in line before getting your food. In the summer, do try the amazing gelatos and sorbets!

::This is perhaps the best bread bakery I have ever been to. We are from NY City, but have been to Quebec at least ten times. Paillard is the one constant for us; every day at breakfast, without fail. We mostly order breads, croissants and and fougasses rather than pastries or sandwiches. However they make their bread is simply the right way.

::I went to Paillard for breakfast and ordered a latte and croissant breakfast sandwich with bacon, hard boiled egg, and hollandaise. I thought I was ordering a frittata but this was probably a miscommunication on my end. But it worked out because this was so damn delicious! The croissant was the best I ever had, as I believe it was basically made of pure butter with a dash of flour. The latte was delicious too. The menu is in French and English, and the people working the counter are also bilingual and very friendly. The second time I went I got some sort of delicious chocolate custard thing. Highly recommended.

::Good but not great. Tuna sandwich was 👍 (the rice side: meh. Croissant crispy on outside and light but not buttery. We had some flavored breads which were really good. Would go again. Crowded at lunch hour. Mostly only communal seating available. 35 for the three of us (no drinks). Bathroom awful (1 of 3 stalls and 1 sink was working) I think if you know what you want there it is probably amazing.
