My gr grdaughter seven yrs old broke her elbow last night. The paramedics showed up and were very skilled and it was amazing watching the way they interacted with a seven yr old frightened child. Very professional. They talked her right out of her fears. My hat is off to these gentlemen. David moodie Former retired city employee Traffic

I never call 911 this was the second time I have ever called a ambulance in my life! & My experience was HORRIBLE! I was very sick! On the ground, couldn't really walk, was in pain, sweating, nausea, my hands where stiffning up to the point that I couldn't move my hands or fingers. Something you call lobster claws. My boyfriend called 911. He told them I was on the ground & couldn't walk & was dizzy & really sick. HE SAID I WAS ON THE FLOOR. They ambulance didn't even show up with a stretcher for me. So unprepared. They were lazy & didnt bother bringing it up. Once they came into my apartment they saw me on the ground. They didn't try to help me up they looked at me & said "Get up". I'm stumbling trying to get up. They have gloves on and not one of them would help me stand! Not one of them offered to help me. They watched me stumble onto the chair & didnt help me! Then they ask for my health card.. my hands were locked like lobster claws & couldn't even open my wallet to get it. So when I told her to grab it from my wallet she sighed & acted like it was a huge burden to grab my health card when my hands litterally arent working! Finally I'm waiting to leave but they are just standing there staring at me. so obviously it clicks into my head. "Wow your not even gonna help me out of the building.." Once we hit the hallway I start walking down the stairs on my own. I looked like I was stumbling & going to fall. The male paramedic said. "If you think your gonna fall down the stairs grab the railing...." Watching me stumble, Not offering to even help me down the stairs. Again they were wearing gloves and still acted like they didn't want to lay a finger on me. I honestly felt so unsafe walking down the stairs on my own that dizzy & they don't even offer to help me? Don't offer to get the stretcher because they are too lazy to bring it in? They didn't help me into the ambulance, they didn't help me out of the ambulance. They wouldn't even let me lay down in the ambulance. Even though I'm dizzy & feel like I'm going to pass out & the stretcher is right beside me. They also said severral times that it was just my anxiety... so it seemed like they weren't even taking me seriously. Well the jokes on them. Because they clearly don't know their diagnosis. By the time I got to the hospital, had to be hooked up to I.V. & medz & ended up have a very bad kidney infection along with a bad heat stroke causing all this to happen. So the fact that they didn't take my illness seriously because they thought it was anxiety is just flat out unprofessional. Not only that! The male paramedic gave me additued telling me to calm down to stop my anxiety. Who ever trained them to calm people down by being rude, harsh or stern. They might want to use a new tactic. Because all it did was make me worse when I'm already in a bad position as it is! Honestly I could of called a taxi or a uber for that kind of service. I'm pretty sure a taxi driver would of even helped into the vihichel & the paramedics couldn't even do that... believe me this. I will never be WAISTING my money on a paramedic ever again. Will take a uber next time. That's how badly the paramedics service was. If you don't like helping people. Then don't be in the medical feild. Then I was in the hospital. I over heard different paramedics talking in the hallway, talking bad about peoples homes they have been in during their calls. Saying how dirty some people are. Bad talking the people who they helped in the past. It was so unprofessional. We depend on these people to help us & this is what they say about us? When we literally have to PAY for ther service & they talk bad about us when we aren't around? Flat out unprofessional and horrible! Not even worth 1 star.

There is always a terribly long wait for the ambulance in this city. This is shameful
