  This place is BULL**** the guy got angry with me when I wanted to clarify the exchange rate by showing him the rate on Google through the glass.He considered me ignorant when really I've traveled the world. He was super rude and tried to tell me that it was impossible. He charged me 68 CAD for 1mil dong.(which he tried to confuse me because really I bought 1.5m for 102$ and saying it cost 65 per mil) Then when I explained I would wait untill I arrived in vietnam to change the rest of my $ he laughed and said "Don't expect a better rate if you bring CAD to vietnam". My first exchange here in ho chi minh cost me 55CAD for 1mil dong which is EXACTLY what Google said the rate was. And to top it off, This was at my hotel. Not even a money exchange place. I would be happy to post receipts as I've saved both. The only way I would recomend this place is because you do need a little bit of the country's currency you are going to so you can make it through the airport and first day. I will visit this A*@#! Again but only because I HAVE to and he usually carries the currency you need **zero stars**

  I went there for the first time yesterday. I had no idea how the money exchange worked and wanted to know more about "no commission" and their exchange rates. The man serving me was really patient with me and explained exactly how everything worked, he even logged on to the computer to show me the rates that TD was offering. When I received my Mexican Pesos, he wrote down how much each bill was in Canadian. I definitely would go back there, they will have my business for good!

  I've been going to the Bank St location since 2010 and it's been the same people working there every time. I've called and gone in person to get quotes and have gotten a straight up answer every time. The rates are extremely competitive (0.7%) and I challenge you to find a better deal elsewhere. I have gone to three other exchange joints in Ottawa and none have offered as good a rate and consistently good service. Having gone over a half dozen times over the last 7 years, this is the only forex bureau I use now.

  I'm surprised at the other reviews. Rates to exchange American currency is usually the best in the city.
