::I have a prepaid reservation with OStays and they have closed their doors without even notifying me. I couldn't reach them by phone or email so I went down to their office and it is vacant!!!! Crooks!

::A terrible company. My friends and I booked an apartment in downtown Calgary with them via Airbnb. After we made the payment and all, we discovered that their confirmation email points to a wrong apartment that is in a different part of the city. So we contacted them and asked if it was just a communication error or if they intentionally gave us a different place. Their response was that the original place is no longer available -- seriously, you changed location on customers without notice? At this point we also asked if they had a different apartment in the downtown area, and they said no. There are two things I want to highlight at this point: - They changed location without notice. We understand things happen and they should have contacted us first and explained the situation. Such a sneaky move. - They did not say anything about the pricing difference between the units. They did advise us to check out their website which did not have any details for the new property. So we decided to find a different host and requested Airbnb a refund. Airbnb contacted oStays on our behalf and now oStays suddenly has an apartment in downtown available for us -- wow, very magical, oStays. oStays is a terrible company that we'd never deal with again.

::This is the worst place! No customer service at all. I had a reservation in December and was unable to get to the room because the elevator fob didn't work. No one answered my calls. I never got into the room! And now the manager Lisa James says the fob did work and no refund is possible. How would she know? No one was there when I needed help accessing the room. NEVER STAY HERE!

::Booked through a third party site. Didn't get the email detailing that we needed to go to their office to check in at a different site and not the condo. Drove to the condo address given to us by the booking website, which is a residential condo. There was no concierge, no directions if you booked through Ostays, no way to get in. Called Ostays but only got to the voicemail (first call). On their voicemail they had their office address. Drove to the office, could. Not. Find. It. Their front door is nestled between two patio tables. Not joking. Their door had their logo but it was propped open, obscuring their logo. No signs anywhere visible from the sidewalk. Called again and got VM. Left message this time. I eventually had to ask the hostess at the restaurant to find the entrance. After all this, it's been 2 hours later. Complained to the front desk person since manager wasn't around. They were nice enough but blamed third party booking agent. I emailed the manager but she basically said she would check if I got the email. No response yet and was not empathic about the situation. I would not recommend O stays. Did not like their communication or their treatment of my complaints. Oh, the place was nice... Not the company.
