Rather small but certainly interesting. There were LOTS of specimens to see and that was great but it would be nice to see more variation in their displays and interpretative materials. Perhaps some exhibition devoted to material related to insects and not just cases and cases of specimens? We did have the opportunity to meet and hold an insect and the staff member who brought it out was very pleasent and knowledgeable. If you're planning on spending a whole day at the biodome complex and have little ones interested in bugs, then this a worthwhile stop but otherwise, it's pretty basic

Fun and educative outing for all ages. They even sometime have animators letting handle done insects, and have an insect based good restaurants in the summer. The visit is relatively short though.

Small and needs more activities but the bugs were cool and kids got a huge kick out of the stick insects because they couldn't find them at first. Very interesting and definitely different! Tried the ant ice cream, not a fan but an experience for all of us. Would probably go back on a cooler day so we could walk outside, it was too hot to take the kids around everywhere and they got tired quickly.

I can't believe how much the place had to offer. It looks small from outside, but there are so many beautiful displays inside. I love how they have the cafe that serves food made of insects. Definitely an underutilized source of protein in North America. SO TASTY!!! One of my favorite memories from my visit to Montreal!!!
