  extremely helpful staff - knowledgeable, but they are busy all the time so you may have to wait for help. It's all good though once your turn comes. Great place, great gear!

  Attended specifically hoping to find a new suitable messanger bag and running watch with/for spouse. Both staff members who assisted were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful (as staff there always are). Love MEC! Mission accomplished :)

  The best place for outdoor equipment from rockclimbing to cycling to canoeing and more. Excellent selection of equipment (which does vary according to season) but the prices are quite high too and on some items, especially clothes made in China, the quality just isn't there. Choose your items carefully as the ratings on their website are not indicative. Staff are very knowledgeable about their area of expertise.

  Not only is it a good store, but there’s also a great community. Only recently have I discovered how great it is because, to be frank, I became more active. I run more. Conversation turns to “hey I work at MEC. Come run with us.” The next thing I know I’m running down graffiti alleyways in downtown Toronto. I climb more. I keep on recognizing different people from the gym working here. I travel more. Have you tried renting from MEC? Amazing! Why would I ever buy hardcore equipment when I can rent it? Basically, if a group of adventurous and good people made a store to share their passions, it’d be MEC. Bravo

  MEC King St Toronto is the only place I'll buy my gear. They always have a wide range of the newest gear and they have the best customer service any gear junkie could ask for. I am so pleased with their A+ customer service that I felt it was my duty to write a review. They credited me on some older hiking boots that blew apart and then again 2 weeks later when I was not happy with my replacement boot selection. Their satisfaction guarantee policy is a must have for any hardcore adventurer who spends their life in adventure mode. MEC for life.
