::Vegan friendly! Really nice place and owner is a genuinely nice lady. Sandwiches served on tasty vegan GF bread, sandwiches and bagels can be veganized, they have almond milk for their yummy lattes, their soup of the day is typically vegan, plus a brownie! And she's open to adding more vegan stuff as she learns of it. Wonderful and accommodating place!

::Local gem. There isnt a pile of places to "hang" in Alta Vista area outside of the Billings Bridge Mall and chains like Tim Hortons etc. So this was a very pleasant surprise to find in my own backyard. It's easy to find, has parking and it has a wee bit of just about everything. Although it has made to order coffee (including with Baileys if so desired) its much more then just a coffee shop.. its licensed and has local beers and wines as well. It also has, for its size, quite a varied and impressive menu that includes all day breakfast bagels, salads, sandwiches, soups, pasta dishes and a variety of home made desserts including gelato. The staff are always above and beyond in helping out or offering ideas including the potential of take out meals, catering, birthday cakes, special made to order cupcakes.. its a little bit of everything here at reasonable prices and good made to order food. If you live in this area of town.. why not give it a try and support a local business.. its definitely my latest "go to" for this neck of the woods of Ottawa.

::We ordered a mango mousse cake ($3.95), a 2 layer meringue cake ($3.95) and a ginger beer ($2). My partner enjoyed his meringue cake. I found my mousse cake to be dry and stale. I get fresher desserts from T&T. And the ginger beer had expired 2017/03/09... If we're going YYYY/MM/DD, that's a year ago. I can't bring myself to go back and try the food that got great reviews. I don't trust they know their stock and are serving fresh food.

::Great breakfast sandwiches! I had their veggie egg sandwich and my husband tried their smoked meat sandwich. Both were very tasty. I wish there was a free coffee refill.
