::We were one of Makerspace's first tenants and were there for over 2 years until we grew into a bigger space. Spaces like Makerspace are so instrumental in getting physical businesses off the ground who would otherwise not be able to take on massive and expensive commercial leases for multi-years. For us it was a place to test our business model, engage with the community, and be part of a fun and creative scene for a couple years. Think of it less as a conventional makerspace in which you buy a membership and get access to gizmos and doodads and more as a community space where physical businesses exist in smaller footprints. These businesses are for the most part are serving a community need and are testing their concepts out in the real world in a more conducive and supportive environment that for many probably wouldn't be possible any other way. City of Ottawa take note. We need more of this.

::Lots of cool people doing cool things; interesting events; a variety of spaces and facilities. Highly recommended.

::As a tenant there we were treated very badly. This isn't really a makerspace anyway. Also it's noisy, dirty and full of fruit flies. They make up rules on the fly, apply them unevenly, to say the least the lack the integrity to facilitate a supportive community. I have lots of email and photo evidence showing their lack of integrity and fairness.
