::I got my surgery many years ago and have been generally happy with the service I received. It is rather rushed and commercial, but being able to see perfectly after years of necessary corrective eye-wear is indescribable. I would've given 3 or 4 stars. I have a lifetime warranty so long as I go to follow up appointments every two years (free for five years then paid). They used to provide Saturday appointments, which was great for me. I just booked my appointment and found out they no longer have Saturday follow-up appointments. They book from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. I will now have to miss work to attend this paid appointment to preserve my warranty. Please re-instate your Saturday appointments, or at least make some evening appointments available. This is not what I signed up for.

::Read carefully : First, If they tells you that the left eye will have more pressure the ln their device is not working properly. during surgery they will really push harder and you will have clogged blood in your eye ball. second thing is, they will not disclose lot of information untill the day of surgery. Ask for the liability waver documents at tthe assessment dday before you make up your mind.

::Had a great experience with my surgery at Lazik M.D. yesterday. I was scheduled for a Refractive Lens Exchange surgery for 12pm yesterday. By the time all the eye drops, testing, filling out consent forms and a thorough consultation was done, it was about 2:30pm. I was then escorted into another area near the OR where they dressed me up in protective clothing, added more eye drops and explained what to expect next. At this point I had the plessure of meeting Dr. Racine, the surgeon that was about perform the surgery on my eyes. He asked if I had any questions and then explained exactly what was going to happen when we were to walk through that door into the OR. It was 2:50pm when we went in and we were all done at 3:10pm. Other than a little pressure on my eyes, I didn't feel a thing. I was awake the whole time and clearly understood DR Racine as he told me step by step what to expect next through the whole procedure. This was much easier than I expected and here I sit a little over 24hrs later typing this review out on me phone with no glasses at all. When I woke up this morning, almost all of the bluryness was gone and I could read small print close up and from a distance without my glasses. I had very little discomfort, accept a little scratchiness and foggy vision for about 12 hrs, that's it. Thank you Lazik M.D. and all your wonderful staff for for allowing me to see perfectly again.

::I wish I had done it sooner. My husband's colleagues recommended it, and after considering it for one year, I finally had the surgery. It is actually painful, but after a nap, it is a different world. I have been shortsighted since grade 5 for over 20 years. The world is clear again, no more glasses except for sunglasses. No more contact lenses which are expensive and hard to put in. It is not the cheapest, but I was told it is much cheaper compared with the States already. It comes with one year follow-up, and if you continue to visit them for a check-up every other year, it comes with life time touch-up guarantee.

::What a joke. 1 star because 0 isn't an option. Can't speak for all Lasikmd but this Ottawa location is deplorable. STAY AWAY.... they will be super nice to get you to commit to a procedure, and even lie to do so. Regardless of price, if you feel like trusting your eyes to employees with ZERO technical knowledge, go ahead. But buyer beware if you come out worse. As a note, neck tattoos don't instill confidence in a medical procedure for me to get. That's just my opinion! Firstly- the technicians or whoever you meet with, have Zero idea what they are talking about. When asked simple questions they hmmm and haw and don't give an answer. This is because they do not know the answer. I don't blame them, I blame their lack of training. Secondly- whole process is rushed JUST to get your surgery date secured... equals money for them. Apparently they have sales targets?? Like people's eyes are a commodity. Thirdly- heavens forbid you want to actually speak with a qualified medical professional, they will book you to meet the surgeon and then usher you into an office to talk to another tech... is their surgeon too busy to give proper medical info to patients? Fourth- they made me wait 1 hour for my first consult and on my second, didn't even have me see the surgeon after 1.5 hours. I do not have all day to have an appointment booked and then be disregarded. Do NOT go here!
