The landmark was one of the worst "hotel" experiences I prefer the Prince arthur or Marriot

The rooms are nice. The swimming pool usually has a bunch of kids but is nice during the evening. Usually pretty good service here.

TRIED to spend the night here tonight and it was ATROCIOUS. None of the bathrooms had been cleared of hygiene supplies left by previous guests, the first room they booked us in had been a smoking room (we requested non-smoking as we had 6 children with us and I'm pregnant). We had to fight to get our room changed, in the NEW room the TV didn't work and the lights flickered. At first they sent security to come look and fix it, which they could not, and told us we could not switch to another room. We asked to speak with a manager and were told they would 'try to reach her'. At this point we are fed up and want to leave, when telling front desk we were just going to find another hotel they 3rd us that they would NOT refund our money because they 'couldnt rent the room out if we left that late' and we had been there 5 hours so why didn't we mention this before (we spent this time in the pool, where all of our children now have rashes due to the high amount of chemicals), and were accused by a security personnel of 'making things up'. I have worked in the hotel industry and everything about this hotel and the way they handled things tonight was absolutely HORRID. I cannot believe a facility like this can continue to run let alone maintain any kind of clientele, especially at these insane prices. I hope no one visiting Thunder Bay makes the poor decision of attempting to stay at this so called 'hotel'. My family and I did end up receiving a refund after arguing with front desk for over an hour and left with our children before 10pm (we checked in around 6pm).
