Kearney provided the utmost care when a loved one passed away over the holidays. From my initial contact with Megan, to Athena, who handled all our arrangements, we had the best possible experience during a difficult and emotional time. We never felt like any products were pushed on us and Athena led us in all the options and decision making. Her care and attention to detail made everything go as seamlessly as possible and we were able to pay attention to the time shared with our loved ones and not have to worry about whether things were being taken care of. We completely trusted in Athena and Kearney to carry our wishes out, and we were not disappointed. It's quite overwhelming, planning the arrangements during a passing of a close relative and there are so many things to decide, but the best choice we could have made was choosing Kearney as our funeral home. I really can't echo our appreciation enough.

Love Kearney's Funeral Home. Both my Dad and Mom passed away in early 2016. Mike and Ryan Crean took care of everything from start to finish. The entire staff from Kearney's were professional, compassionate, and very attentive to our every need. I highly recommend Kearney's Funeral Home . . . a family owned business that handled every aspect of our parent's funerals with the sensitivity and ease needed at such a difficult time. Forever grateful, Ellen Fairn

I would like to commend the staff of Kearney Funeral Services for their care of my father. Dad's situation was unique in that he passed away in his assisted living apartment. The Funeral Director worked with the staff of the facility to pick up Dad, and she did it with the utmost care and respect even taking into account not just our wishes but the affect on the other residents as well, something we otherwise would not of thought of. The staff at Kearney were compassionate, caring, readily available and very efficient. No matter how many times we revised the obituary notice, or service, or how many people in our family got involved. They treated each revision as important. The director and administration staff worked with us to ensure Dad's notices and services reflected who he was and what we required. Kearney made a very difficult time in our lives easier and for that I can not thank them enough. I would recommend Kearney Funeral Services to anyone who has lost a loved one.

Death is never an easy thing to deal with, but Kearney's made the death of my father even harder to handle. I live out of the country and it took a while for the Trustee to locate me, but once I was located I immediately took over my father's estate and in turn, his body. The funeral director I dealt with was wonderful at first, then the problems began. I was notified via email that Kearney's had put my father in the wrong casket for cremation (they left him in the one the Trustee had scheduled to burry him in) and that they changed my signed contract to reflect the price difference and that I owed them close to an additional $500. Yes, that's correct, they changed a legal document signed by both parties and tried to have me pay for their mistake. That did not sit well with me and I responded to their email with refusal and advised them that I would be accountable for our originally signed contract. I received no response from them. A week later, my cousin tried to pick up my father's remains for me and was told that they were not ready. Kearney's had the cremated remains for a week and a half. All that I had requested was that the ashes be put into 2 bags in 1 temporary urn, and I was told by my funeral director that this had been completed almost a week before my cousin went to pick it up. I finally made it to town and went to Kearney's to pick up my father's remains. I was rushed into a small room and waited about 10 minutes for delivery. My request of 2 bags in 1 urn was not honored as I received 2 urns (I was shocked that they didn't try to charge me for the extra urn). I asked for another bag as it was awkward to carry 2 urns in 1 bag and waited for another 5 minutes for a bag. Thank goodness they took their time bringing me the bag because I realized that they didn't bring me the Death Certificates! I actually had to ask for the Certificates! I finally received all I needed and left. I was in Vancouver for a week (I went to Kearney's on Monday) and the experience was still bothering me Friday. I called to speak with a manager or owner, but apparently they are not in the office often and I was told to call back. I called back Saturday and spoke with a manager. I was just looking for an apology, but I had to beg for one. The man I spoke to didn't see anything wrong with my story. How could not giving the next of kin the Death Certificates not be an issue? I have waited several weeks to write this review and I am just as revolted by Kearney's today as I was the day I was there. I feel confident that you will be able to find a more ethical and moral place to handle the death of your loved one than Kearney's.
