::Excerpt from "Excellent Care for All Act" ....increasing the focus on quality, bringing patient satisfaction to the forefront and basing patient care decisions on the best scientific evidence available.... My family members care while in Emergency and ICU (cardiac) was without a doubt, some of the best and he was making progress; considerable progress! He was then transferred to the Ward. The difference is night and day and he deteriorates more each passing day. He remains immobile due to his fractured hip. On Wednesday at approximately 2:00 am he fell out of his bed (according to ward staff). We received no phone call, but rather walked into a sad, crying man later that morning. Please note that there has been little to nil communication with any medical staff before or since then. Points of importance which should send up red flags: *Little to nil communication from doctors, medical team. *Patients appear to deteriorate in terms of health and happiness. *Seniors (or anyone) paying tax for well over 50 years should never be brought down to this level. *Seniors are viable citizens of the community (worth their weight in gold). *Horrific Ward staff at Juravinski (Mr. and Mrs. J would be beyond disappointed in their treatment of the elderly!!!) "No one escapes aging and to all those nightmare staff: you too will be there one day!!!!! It is people like you that make growing old such a frightening process!!! I do not expect special treatment for my Dad but I do expect that he will be given every possible opportunity to get well and resume his role as a viable citizen.

::This hospital (emergency) is garbage! Went for a serious matter and didn't see doctors or nurse for 4 hours. There was nobody ahead of us. Nobody checked on us. Worst service ever! I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!
