::This location is a joke. If you have half a brain, please go ahead and use turbotax. If you're uncomfortable in using turbotax, call over a friend that is good with accounting or business and can assist. My taxes this year were more complicated than usual so opted to play it safe with using a professional... I regret this decision. The customer service was awful and the fees are too high. DONT GO.

::Would give zero stars if I could. We drove 2 hours into town because no one local could do US taxes and we were assured multiple times that the person we'd booked our appointment with was fully qualified for US taxes as well as Canadian. We get to our appointment and he can't do "THAT" kind of U.S. taxes and is quoting me very different rates from the phone quote for our Canadian taxes. Plus he apparently needed none of the piles of paperwork I'm supposed to have with me, including last year's taxes (that he very specifically told me to bring). Staff were generally polite and we weren't kept waiting long for our appointment, so one star. But still a complete waste of my and my partner's time.

::Scammer alert! Please beware! I left this location today feeling completely sick to my stomach and ripped off! So First of all I went in to do was inquire about how much they would charge me on a very basic tax return and getting cash back on my refund. I had previously called H&R block to ask the requirements and all I was told was that my refund had to be over $600 to be eligible. I sat down with a young girl who I told what I wanted, cash back option and asked how much it was going to cost. She started preparing my tax return right away, (took a whole 5mins to punch in the numbers) said my refund was $1200 and the price was $130. I was told that I was not eligible for cash back because i didnt file in 2014. So then she says that i have to pay $130 upfront before she can file this return. ( At this point all my paper work is in a folder and she has my ID on her side of the desk) And I said I dont have that money and I have other receipts Id like to file from my kids expenses, which was a receipt for $139 and $30, which i had to go get them. She put those amounts in her system, which only raised my refund by $20 and my cost to H&R block an extra $100! So my total was $230!,And then I said no no no Im not gonna do that, she undos what she typed in and then she goes and gets the manager because she knows that I want to leave. Im thinking that I should just taken my taxes and leave and then some guy comes and stands there watching me! She comes back with the manager and I get stuck signing the papers to have them take $130 off my refund in order to file my taxes that I didnt want them to do. All I wanted was to know the cost and get the cash back option. So after speaking to a close friend of mine, he told me he went to H&R block, he hadnt filed his 2011 taxes and still got the tax back option!!!!!!!! Totally feel scammed and like a complete sucker into this SCAM!!

::I did my taxes for the first time on my own this year and decided to try H&R Block. Had an amazing experience with my tax professional, Kathy!! She was the best! Friendly, fast-paced and efficient. I will definitely be coming back every year to do my taxes with her! Thanks Kathy! See you next year!

::So I stopped in looking to ask a few questions as I'm new to doing taxes and wanted to get familiarized with the process. Unfortunately they said they could only tell me so much before they'd have to charge me (which is 100% understandable as they need to make money.) I made my questions general and tried to keep the list short, after which I thanked them and headed out. My issue lies with the fact that they constantly were pushing for me to use their services, to the point where before I was leaving they told me that "Sometimes it's better to leave these things to the professionals". I had been upfront from the beginning about the fact that I was looking to learn how to properly do my taxes on my own. I just wanted to ask a few questions so that I could set myself up for success in the future. A business that is more concerned with making money than helping someone set themselves up properly by answering a few questions is not a business I want to ever go to. Please Steer Clear Of This Branch. Going to try a different branch in the city as I can't make a judgement of a company off one experience.
