  A gorgeous hotel, I came here to go to a concert as part of the ECMA's. Bathrooms are very modern, there is a bar/restaurant that we did not go to but will next time. The large room that we were in for this concert was quite elegant. I would love to stay here some time

  Being from the area, I tend to visit more for events and functions. The conference rooms are spacious and provide a great space for industry showcases or press events. Also, if you need a bite to eat or a pick me up there are great restaurants and a coffee shop on site

  This hotel really disappointed me. I booked my room more than 64 days before arrival and immediately requested to have a view of the Harbour. Upon check in, I was told no room with a view of the harbour was available. A few hours later, my friend - who was slightly lighter skin than me - checked in and he was asked what kind of room he preferred. When he said he was there to discover Halifax, the lady had said to him OK, let me give you a room with a nice view of the harbour. When I called reception again, they said no view of the harbour was available. A few minutes later, reception called me back at my room saying they had great news for me. They claimed they had just had a cancellation and I could be offered a room with a view of the harbour for $50 more per night. I had already paid $750 for my stay while my friend had only paid $520 and got a view without even asking for it. What BS? Not to mention that the walls are really thin, you could hear people talking in other rooms, and the customer service was garbage. No apology, no understanding, and outright discrimination/racism.

  Stayed for a few days while hosting a conference. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, beds comfy, and even though it appears there was some sort of youth hockey event going on at the time, it was quiet in the room. If they're available, try and get something with a harbour front view. I'm not one to care about the amenities, but the soap was amazing. I went online when I got home and ordered some for home. Came back for a second conference. Same as last time. Very consistent service year to year - 2018

  I was with a group at the lobby bar. The service was excellent. The seating was comfortable. The appetizers were all very tasty and well prepared. The selection of beers on tap was not huge, but there was a good mix of national brands and local micro breweries. I would recommend this spot to get together with a group of co-workers after work, and definitely a good spot to hang out if you are a guest at the hotel.
