  The staff here looked after the final arrangements for my mother when she passed at 92 years of age. They were respectful, courteous and helpful without ever being pushy. My only complaint was that they itemize their bills. It upset me to know that they charged $500 to transport my mom's remains in a van for TWO LONG BLOCKS from the nursing home to their funeral parlour. Now, I appreciate that their costs are high and they can't rely on customer referrals or repeat business but such ridiculous costs should be buried in their general tariff, NOT displayed as a legitimate charge. Displaying it like this is a bit of a slap in the face to the person paying the bill.

  Unfortunately, I have had to attend funerals of friends over many years at Giffin-Mack. Always handled in a dignified manner.
