::The worst staff ever ...noone knows what they are talking about .. We have called about different situations ...first they don't answer the phone ...you need to spend few days to .call to get a hold of them ...2nd of all...they give us the wrong information ...when we check with the Canadian gov and call them back to tell them...they check again and say ok u r right ....so why are they there if they don't know all the information....they are completely useless. They really need to change all the staff and the way they deal with people. This is in Canada not in Iraq they really need to look into it.

::Google should allow me to put 0/5 stars. This is probably the worst embassy known to mankind. The employees are liars, extremely disrespectful, and they take advantage of the fact that no rules apply to them because they are working for a sovereign country. Every single person that works there follows a different procedure or set of rules so if you are requesting an Iraqi Visa, you might not actually receive it because they have no real standard. According to their pre-application reqs, I had to provide them with proof of purchase of an airline ticket to get an approval to apply for a visa, after doing so, I mailed them all required documentation and my family passports to the embassy as they requested. For 3 weeks prior to my flight, they were loligagging around making excuses that the visa was not issued because they were closing early or opening late or the correct individual who has access to the system was not available. Nonetheless, they informed me that they cashed my money orders, received my passports and documentation, and would be proceeding with the application shortly. 1 day prior to christmas and 3 days prior to my trip, I call them and they stated not only did they not receive my passports but they have not received the money orders I sent to them. When I pressed further on the issue, the individual I was speaking to did a 360 and said they received everything but the money orders were purchased from CIBC and not a preferred bank of their choice. When I asked why that information was not provided to me in my earlier conversations or on the embassy website, the individual got told me that it is clear as day on the website. I quickly went to the website and read word for word what was on the website, proving that there is no indication of the money order to be purchased by a preferred vendor, the embassy employee became upset with the fact that I questioned his authority. He went on a 2 minute rant about how he is "the consular and officer of the embassy of Iraq," and that my questioning of his authority, "was disrespectful," and that he will no longer process my visas because I "questioned [his] ability to do [his] job." I never received my visas, I never received my passports, I am out $5400 in airline tickets, they will not answer my phone or my emails. About 5 days later, when I missed my trip due to the incompetent behavior of the embassy, I called from my work phone to see if they would respond. Someone picked up the phone, and when I asked about these passports, the individual mentioned how they have all of the documentation and passports in their possession. I asked the individual that if they would not like to process the visas that is up to their discretion but to please send me back my passports so I can travel during my days off to the United States. The guy flatly said "no." I asked him why, he said, "no reason." I asked him who am I speaking with, he said, "I am no one." I said you must be someone everyone is someone. He made up some name and then said "my name is Jafar." I said what job title do you hold, he replied, "employer." I said are you the individual in charge? "No, I am just an employer." Who do you employ? He replied, "I do not understand the question." What duties does your position require you to do? "To act as an employer." It was then that I realized that this embassy is so beyond unprofessional - almost childlike. To unlawfully withhold our passports, costing me $5400 + vacation days, emotionally destroying my family's hopes of even traveling slightly anywhere, just goes to show that the people of this embassy uneducated, vacuous, archaic, disrespectful, and dare I say borderline mentally retarded. If they wanted to reject the visas they were more than welcome to that is their prerogative however to withhold my passports for "no reason," should be illegal. I have no one that I am able to report this to so I figured I would try my luck on google. Hopefully no one takes this down. My suggestion to anyone who is trying to go to Iraq is to go personally to a US embassy for results.
