::A real staple for the neighbourhood. The service is always nice even though they are often packed in the warmer months. Ice cream is made in house and always hits the spot!

::Ed's Real Scoop offers a refreshing change to icecream and gelatos, offering homemade treats at affordable prices. Located along Queen St. East, Ed's Real Scoop is essential tourist stop, and a go-to for dessert in the Beaches area. The waffle cones are homemade and always fresh. The gelato and icecream are always light and creamy, and bursting with flavour. My favourite is the Burnt Marshmallow, a MUST try. The lineups can be long in the summer though, so plan accordingly. Staff are amazing and always eager to please. :)

::go for it. is one of those hidden treasures in Toronto. Usually long lines during the weekend. Be patient it is worthy. It is home made old fashion Ice cream. they dont have the same flavors always so you need to go back over and over again.

::Walk along Queen Street East in the summer and there are *very* few places that have lines out the door. Ed's Real Scoop is one of the rare exceptions: it's always busy because they serve, without a doubt, the best ice cream in this part of Toronto. The selection is great and every day or so the staff will put a 'suggested pairing' on the chalkboard. That suggestion is almost always good: its led me to try some chocolate chilli ice creams and try their burnt marshmallow. I've never been disappointed by following the pairing suggestion. One special note: be sure to get a waffle cone. They actually put a little bit of marshmallow in the bottom of it, so that it doesn't leak any ice cream out the bottom. In addition to be incredibly practical it means that the bottom of the cone is a special treat!
