  Purchased a used high-spec MBP from EB a few years ago, and it’s been great. It originally had a bad (or worn out?) battery that died whenever a heavy render started and the GPU/CPU drew a lot of power. They offered to replace it with another used one for free with 24hr turnaround, but I ended up choosing pay very little extra money (I think they offered at-cost ~$100?) for a brand new battery and they did all the labour for free, super quick. Batteries are an expected wear item, and it’s really worth the extra $ for a brand new batt if you get in the same situation with a used laptop or your current isn’t lasting. I’ve also had EB diagnose an iPhone 7+ that bricked, and they were great about it. Only charged me the very reasonable $35 fee, and they did it the next day. (Phone is toast, but nothing to do with them, they just confirmed that it isn’t worth trying to fix) They were also very aware on which models of Macs seem to have the most issues/hardware failures into their life, saying they won’t sell that model themselves as they die too commonly and don’t want to disappoint customers. Saved a very possible PITA for me. I’ll keep sending friends their way for sure. EB knows their stuff, and doesn’t fake details or try to up-sell. Thanks!

  It’s not usual for me to post a bad review, but as someone that has worked in the retail industry, customer service is timely; acknowledges an understanding of the clients concerns and provides a solution that addresses their concern with an intent they will provide repeat business. This I do not feel was handled well by EB Computers staff members. I do not need to get into public detail with my situation as Brad had a chance to talk to me about these details in person. But as I don’t feel my situation was handled correctly, it seemed like my only option was to leave a review. Keep in mind this is just one persons opinion. Brad, from reading previous reviews and chatting with you in person I feel like you will have counter arguments to my statement. I’d prefer that you call me to chat rather than discuss it here. Thank you Edit Day after: *as I cannot reply to your response I will leave an edit. Thank you for the speediness of your response; however, your response does not properly describe the situation. The problem was not the service yesterday, but rather I was sold an item that was advertised to include a **NEW BATTERY** The battery the computer came with did not hold a charge longer than 10 seconds. When I came in again after purchasing you replaced it in a timely manner but with another battery that doesn’t hold a charge. As I have a more than full time job and do not live close I could not make it a part time job to continue to come back to your store to fix something that shouldn’t have been broken in the first place. Like I said in person (and on Facebook) I’m done putting the effort into working with you. If you, as a small business owner would like to try and fix this, you have my number and can call me. For those reading, I will update you on whether this resolves or not.

  I have used EB computers on four occasions to help with various computer related issues...by comparison to other establishments we have found the service reliable, efficient and affordable. What a great local company!

  Such a great establishment! Diagnosed a Macbook Air I brought in and were upfront and honest about it's condition instead of giving me the run around. Didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Great service!
