  This was the worst booking experience I have ever encountered. It began by me taking a $60 cab ride directly from the airport to the "Colony Suites". I knew I likely would not be allowed to check in yet because I arrived at 11 a.m. but I hoped they would simply hold my luggage so I could go and kill time. Well it turned out the adress was for a "key pick up spot". A random variety store and the building next to it was kind enough to let me stand inside with my luggage while I called the rental owners. I had thought I booked a hotel based on the name of it. When I got in touch with the owner he was extremely rude. He said that I hadn't responded to any of his emails and that I was supposed to write him back to set up a location to pick up the keys and he had no record of me. I apologized for not seeing the email as I was in Florida and did not pay for data to view emails. As it turned out this was false information because he did not send me an email. He then said that I shouldn't have even been allowed to book for only one night because they never do that. After that he said they couldn't take my luggage and that checking in is clearly stated at 3pm. I asked for some sort of compromise because it's -22 outside and I have two big bags of luggage plus was still in my Florida shoes and coat. He started shouting at me saying it isn't his problem. What a nightmare that was. He refused to take my bags until 3 and was really rude and awful about it. I tried to reason with him with my situation but he didn't care at all. I said ok but it looks like I will have to find a new hotel then because I am really stuck here with the weather and my bags. Luckily there was the Marriott across the street that had open rooms and they gladly took me in. The Marriott was so kind and helpful. You get way more value for your money. Colony Suites refuDef to give me my money back and did not give me any key pick up instructions making it impossible to stay they. They are a scam do not book here! Save yourself the money and headache. I will never ever recommend Colony suits to anyone. There are too many great competitors out there then to have to deal with such poor customer service.
