  Had dinner last evening. Ordered a scallop ceviche. Good. Then had a mixed green salad. Good, not great. Main course was the “catch of the day”. Cod. Served with potatoes and a thick creme sauce with small fried things mixed in. The dish was way too heavy and filling. The cod had no chance to be enjoyed with the overwhelming accompaniments. Did not enjoy the main dish at all. Service was very good.q

  Quality to price, this place is amazing. Food is well balanced and portions are generous for brunch. Since I stayed at the manoir victoria, this was the logical place to go to. We haven’t been able to eat here for dinner since you have to reserve a week in advance for Friday or Saturday nights, and we were only here for one night. The staffs are really friendly, and you could tell that they are proud to be working at one of the top recommended restaurants in Quebec City. Also, even if the place is super busy, they always manage to find time for your needs so you don’t have to wait forever to get someone’s attention. To the staff, thank you for such a wonderful experience. I would definitely make a reservation before coming to Quebec City next time.

  Walked by and immediately noticed Chez Boulay, once inside the menu and service didn't disappoint! the scallops and risotto were well paired and done perfectly. The salad had the right mix of all items. Definitely on my list to return.

  Went for lunch on a busy Thursday. The quality of the food for the price is amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly and the salmon gravlax was a wonderful appetizer. The service was attentive and efficient. A real treat all and all. If you know you will be there in advance, especially with a group, make a reservation to assure you get to enjoy this culinary experience.

  The experience here was wonderful. Service was stellar and food came out quick but it didn't feel rushed at all. The passion of Quebec ingredients is shown on the plate, in the decor and even the ambiance of the restaurant. The meals were innovative but not overdone and even the more dessert type brunch dish we had was not overly sweet or rich. All in all, I will definitely come back here when I find myself in Quebec again. Also - be sure to try out their pastry shop around the corner!!
