::He is a professional, kind, and very compassionate person. I am very grateful that I found him, finally, someone who genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients.

::I would not recommend this psychiatrist to anyone, because of his forgetfulness and not being capable to give feedback. I've seen him for 1y8m, due to many unfortunate events in my life, when I needed some support and advice, an opinion, and a guidance. I was told by the specific that he does not give advice, but he gave me his opinion only in 2 occasions over all this period of time. However, his opinion did not help, since it was expressed by a person who does not have any experience related to the subject presented by me. In other instances, he told me that he couldn't help me, but I needed to be listened to. He probably found that by him listening to me, I would get help, but not from him, maybe from his office's walls. I repeated myself in numerous occurrences when I was asked the same questions and I could see that forgetfulness was a big issue. His body language and the face expression were showing that "he never heard about what I just said". It looked like he heard the facts for the first time. Nevertheless, he got upset in different moments and told me that he is allowed to forget because "he is old". Wrong!!! If a professional who is supposed to remember becomes forgetful, this is the moment to let go of this profession. For him, the sessions represented a business and I was told that I am not allowed to miss any of them. This is only one of the facts. After all this time I travelled to his office once or twice per week, I gave up. He got nervous that I leave, I got on my feet, and I left in the middle of the session, deciding that I am capable to cope on my own. The counsellor should make most of the talking, should ask questions, and the sessions should be active talking and debating the issues. Unfortunately, the doctor in question did not think that I am right when I told him what I am expecting from my sessions. In his opinion, the client should talk and he, the counsellor, should just sit there listening. Wrong!!!! He also expressed that he would wish me reporting him to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, because of all these times I asked him to help me and telling him that he is not helping me. I was the client and I knew what I felt and got from this counsellor. I did not really understand why he would've wanted me to report him. It is very strange what he expressed, and he is at loss. I would not take any minute of my precious time to do what he would want me to do. If I would have decided to do it, The College would have revoked his licence. Bottom line, although he told me that he has many referrals and I am not important if I would leave, I do not recommend him to anybody. He is calling himself counsellor/psychiatrist/psychoanalyst. A counsellor is suppose to help others by giving counselling and remembering events, in order to help the other party who is asking for help. He is not the right person, because he cannot remember facts enumerated in the previous sessions, he does not give advice, he is not debating the issues, out of fear or because he does not know how to do it, does not express his opinion to help the client, and he is not helpful at all. He should stop practising all at once. It is a waste of time to go to such a person!!! Thank you

::Over the years I have been seeing Dr Philip Cheifetz and he is very rude and unhelpful in anyway. He has no secretary and unprofessional in every way. He takes advantage of the mentally ill by screaming at his patients, he yelled at me several times and I totally would not recommend him at all.
