  Amazing location for exploring Victoria without a car. We came via the Victoria Clipper, which is also just a short walk away. They're located just behind the Empress Hotel in the lovely inner bay area. From the Chateau Victoria, you can walk to many tourist destinations in a couple of minutes, Water Taxi tours, the Royal Victoria Museum, Miniature World, Insect Zoo, Rogers Chocolates, Murchie's Tea, Tea at the Empress, Munroe's Books. They also have a shuttle and will drive you short distances. The hotel was clean and modern, with comfortable beds and rooms. They provided a crib for our infant. Our suite had a wraparound balcony with quite a view. They provide coffee and newspapers in the lobby in the morning. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant on the upper floor has an amazing view and a decent breakfast. We would definitely stay here again. It's a lovely place in an amazing location.

  Tucked away on a hill behind the famed Empress Hotel, this 17 floor hotel is not historic or lofty. It is inviting, attractive and comfortable. It has everything you would expect of a first rate hotel. From the 5th floor and up, the views are excellent. The rooms and suites (we had a suite on the 16th floor) are chic and comfortable. The restaurant and bar are appealing and reasonably priced; the offerings are creative and tasty. The staff are pleasant and helpful. In a downtown full of great hotels, this one is close to shopping, the inner harbour, the Parliament Buildings and Beacon Hill Park... It is worthy of your consideration.

  First time staying here and will definitely be back. Large comfortable room. Great to have a balcony. Excellent service. Easy walk to almost everything, plenty of parking onsite and bus stop right outside. Clive' s bar is good. Nice to have a drink in a place with no TV! We still have to check out the 18th floor restaurant but expect to find the same high standard.

  I've been staying here regularly for the past 5 years. I come to Victoria for work 5-6 times a year and the Chateau Victoria is always my first choice. During the summer you need to book well in advance though as the hotel fills up quickly. Also since I travel here often I joined their executive club membership which has some great benefits.

  **Note** They have a shuttle service that will pick you up from the ferry terminal and provide rides to nearby restaurants and attractions. Very nice lobby when you walk in the door. I was happy with the quality of the suite room we had. Nice view of the city on the balcony. Good amenities and loved the hot tub and pool area. Workout room is small, but wasn't busy when we were there. Friendly staff and very comfortable stay. Also central location to a lot downtown and easily within walking distance from the ferry and other locations.
