::The worst store to shop. The management team and the associates are all the same. Very rude, no smile, no welcome to the store. I felt very sorry for these stores. Bad management and customers service cause a business to lose customers. I think the head office have to step it up and see why these stores have such a low rating with services. I will not give Canadian Tire my business anymore. Bad services!

::Rather than write a review, I am pasting the body of a letter written to the Customer Service department at Canadian Tire: Hello, I just visited the Canadian Tire on Woodlawn Road in Guelph, Ontario. I am a 55 year old who regularly shops with a backpack as I prefer not to use plastic bags. As I was perusing the aisles picking up some needed items for a camping trip, one of the store employees approached me and told me that I would have to leave my backpack at customer service if I wished to continue shopping. As I had not seen this posted it came as an unhappy surprise. I told the employee that if this was the case, I would not be purchasing any of the items I already had in my hands, as my backpack contained valuables that I did not feel comfortable leaving with store employees. I then told the employee that I would like to find my wife to let her know that we were not shopping there. When I stepped toward the area I thought she would be, the employee stepped into my path and reminded me that I was to go no further with the backpack I was wearing. I reluctantly went back to customer service, dropped my backpack with them, and went to find my wife to tell her we were leaving. At no point during my shopping experience did any employee offer assistance to locate anything or greet me in a friendly manner. Contrast this experience with the one I had 20 minutes earlier at the Staples store next door. When I walked into Staples I was immediately greeted with a warm smile, and another employee approached me to ask if there was anything they could help me with. They proceeded to spend the next couple of minutes assisting me, and not once did they ask me to surrender my backpack. When I was leaving the store another staff member wished me a good day. It is safe to say I will not be shopping at this Canadian Tire in future, and will source my needs at other retailers who do not have myopic security protocols designed to repel customers. Over my life I have spent thousands of $$$ at Canadian Tire but will not be spending another dime. Canadian Tire needs to re-think their policy on backpacks, as the customer backlash will not be worth it.

::Great service today, even down to carry out help. Even had the high volume on sale stuff in the current flyer.

::You have a young guy at the auto parts when a old guy ask him about a light bulb he says go over there and punch it in he tried to and l didn’t have my reading glasses so we were having a hard time because the old guy didn’t know anything about computers findly the young guy asked if he could help only because he could hear me complain about getting no help l said that would be nice he did but he wasn’t nice. So if you want help at the auto parts I hope that young guy isn’t there to help you they need to know that not everyone will know how to work those punch in machines

::I purchased a Treadmill with Delivery since I don't have a vehicle that could transport it. I was given a vague delivery date of "should be Tuesday or Wednesday" and I would need to be home to receive it during the day. Now, I work from home so that's not an issue for me but most people do not and can't just take off work for a vague estimation on when something might be coming. I've heard nothing by the end of Wednesday of course and so I give them a call and I'm told they will bring it on Thursday and call me before they are leaving. This is insanely inconvenient for a Customer at this point. They do come on Thursday and ask where I want it, I tell them it's going in a room in my house and it has a clear path to the location and they say "Oh no we don't go in the house." Are you kidding me? After I help them bring it up the front steps (only one person came who could actually lift it) they say, "Is this good enough?" I said no, I need it in the door at least because I can't lift this 300lb box myself. The guy audibly lets out a frustrated deep breath and I'm just shocked by the whole experience. So, please, get delivery if you have no plans ever and are fine with them just deciding it's going to arrive when they want and don't expect them to even want to help you get it into your house. Absolutely atrocious customer service and I won't be back for anything I need at this location.
